5th Sunday of Lent

John 3:14-21

Prayers of the Faithful: Our sin offends God, yet we trust in His constant love for us because it is
the source of hope for our salvation. Trusting in His merciful love, we pray:
All – Lord, have mercy on us!
C –For our Church: May we always respond promptly to God’s call to conversion. Let us pray!
R.
C –For all bishops and priests: May they become instruments of God’s light and forgiveness,
especially in the sacrament of confession. Let us pray! R.
C –For all parents and teachers: May they succeed in leading their children and students in
explaining the reality of sin that offends God so that the children and students may grow in the
light of Jesus. Let us pray! R.
C – For those who are entangled in sin: May they, in the example of the saints, find the
encouragement they need to break their chains. Let us pray! R.
C –That those in mission: may they be faithful in spreading the reality about sin and forgiveness
in their missionary work. Let us pray! R.
C - For our personal intentions, and the intentions of this Mass… (pause). We pray. ℟.
P –God of holiness and compassion, keep us in light by being mindful of your will in avoiding
sin by gazing always on your merciful love– Amen
