    Submits One Nation, One Poll Report


    To President
    Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the High Level Committee led by former
    President Ram Nath Kovind submitted its report on ‘One Nation, One Poll’ to
    President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday.

    The 18,626 pages-long report is an outcome of extensive consultations with


    stakeholders, experts and research work of 191 days, since the committee’s
    constitution on September 2, 2023.

    In its report, the committee concluded that its recommendations will significantly
    enhance transperancy, inclusivity and ease and confidence of voters.

    “Overwhelming support for holding simultaneous elections will spur development


    process and social cohesion will deepen the foundation of our democracy. It will also
    realise the aspiration of India that is Bharat.”
