Pre-requisite:
The student should have reading and analyzing skills over legal statutes.
Course Objectives
 Understanding and appreciating the meaning of Intellectual Property and the different
types of Intellectual Property.
 Analyzing and applying the different Intellectual Property Laws to the various industries.
 Understanding and interpreting the role of international bodies in the balancing and
framing of Intellectual property laws.
 Understanding and analyzing various challenges posed by COVID-19 Pandemic and the
growth of technology and its impact on IP laws.
Course Learning Outcomes:
 To apply intellectual property law provisions (Patents, Copyrights and Trademarks) to
conduct research in order to find solutions to IP related problems (PLO 2a)
 To reflect an understanding of Intellectual Property and its substantial interconnections in the
various fields. (PLO 3a)
 To develop strategies, interconnect issues and provide suggestions for effective
implementation of IP laws relating to varied industries about policy and administration and
