1. This Question paper contains- five sections A, B, C, D and E. Each section is compulsory.
2. Section A has 18 MCQ’s and 02 Assertion -Reason based questions of 1 mark each.
3. Section B has 5 Very short answer type questions of 2 marks each.
4. Section C has 6 Short Answer (SA)-type questions of 3 mark each.
5. Section D has 4 Long Answer (LA)-type questions of 5 mark each.

32. The sum of the digits of a two-digit number is 9. Also, nine times this number is twice the number
obtained by reversing the order of the digits. Find the number.

33. Is it possible to design a rectangular park of perimeter 80 m and area 400 m2? If so, find its length
and breadth.

34. Prove that : if a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle to intersect the other two sides in distinct
points, the other two sides are divided in the same ratio.

35. Prove that opposite sides of a quadrilateral circumscribing a circle subtend supplementary angles at the
centre of the circle.
Section –E
[This section comprises of 3 case- study/passage based questions of 4 marks each with sub parts. The
first two case study questions have three sub parts (i), (ii), (iii) of marks 1,1,2 respectively.

36. Due to heavy storm an electric wire got bent as shown


in the figure. It followed a mathematical shape.

Answer the following questions below:

(ii) What are the zeroes of the polynomial for the shape
formed in the graph?
(iii) What will be the expression of the polynomial?

37. Rajesh wants to develop a garden as per the dimensions given in the diagram.

(iii) What is the total cost of laying grass in the garden if the cost of laying grass is ₹ 110 per square meter?

38. Sanjay starts walking from his house to office.
Instead of going to the office directly, he goes to
a bank first, from there to his daughter ‘s school
and then reaches the office. Assume that all the
distances are covered in a straight line. If the
house is situated at (2 , 4), bank at (5 , 8), school
at (13 , 14) snd office at (13 , 26) and coordinates are in Km.

Based on the above information answer the following questions.


(i) Find the distance between house and bank.
(ii) Find the distance between bank and Daughter’s school.
(iii) What is the total distance travelled by Sanjay between house and office?
