Jio users who are experiencing issues while accessing VTOP portal related services can follow
the instructions.
Android
1. Search for "Private DNS."
2. Select the "Private DNS Mode" option as "Private DNS provider hostname."
3. Enter the hostname as “dns.google.com”
4. Click "Save" to apply the changes.
iOS
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Wi-Fi.
3. Find the Wi-Fi network that you want to change DNS servers for, then tap the ⓘ icon
next to it.
4. Scroll down to the DNS section, then tap Configure DNS.
5. Select Manual, then enter the following Google DNS IP addresses:
a. For IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4
b. For IPv6: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and/or 2001:4860:4860::8844s
Windows
1. Open the "Control Panel."
2. Click on "Network and Internet" > "Network and Sharing Center" > "Change adapter
settings."
3. Right-click on the network connection for which you want to set up private DNS
mode, then click "Properties."
4. In the "Networking" tab, under "This connection uses the following items," select
"Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" or "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)"
and then click "Properties."
5. Select "Use the following DNS server addresses."
6. For IPv4, enter the Google DNS IP addresses:
a. Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
b. Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
7. For IPv6, enter the Google DNS IP addresses:
a. Preferred DNS server: 2001:4860:4860::8888
b. Alternate DNS server: 2001:4860:4860::8844
8. Click "OK" to save the settings.
By changing the Private DNS to Google's DNS server, users may experience improved DNS
resolution, which can help resolve issues.
