RUN FOR A GIRL CHILD - 8TH Edition: 11th February, 2024 - Gachibowli Stadium Hyderabad
The 8th edition of Seva Bharathi's "Run For A Girl Child" represents a volunteer-driven initiative
aimed at making a substantial impact on the lives of young girls. This annual run, one of its kind in
the country, serves as a cornerstone in endorsing the Girl Child Empowerment by contributing
towards Seva Bharathi’s Kishori Vikas program. With a resolute mission to empower 100,000 girl
children by 2030, this run has evolved into a significant platform for both raising awareness and
generating funds in support of this noble cause. In Hyderabad, the event witnesses the active
participation of over 10,000 individuals, embodying a collective dedication to nurturing a brighter
future for girl children through education and empowerment.
Seva Bharathi's Kishori Vikas program, with 18 years of dedicated service, stands as a beacon of
empowerment for young girls in Telangana. Operating across 263 centers, this initiative is driven by
a committed force of 300+ all-female volunteers. Over the years, the program has made a
significant impact, benefiting 10,328 girls and counting.

Health - Aarogyam
Focused on providing quality healthcare for marginalized and underprivileged communities. To
address pressing health issues such as limited information and poor ambulance response, we hold
medical camps under "Sanjeevani" in slums, blood donation drives and provide ambulance
services in rural and tribal areas. The organization operates help desks in government hospitals to
keep patients informed and involved in their healthcare. Operating a 50-bed hospital in
Hyderabad and 10 Bed hospital in Kokkireni, Suryapet, to provide affordable healthcare
services to underprivileged communities.
Empowerment - Svavalambhana
Equipping people in underprivileged communities with skills and resources for livelihood will
lead to financial independence and help address poverty. The organization's women's skill
development program has trained over 10,000 women in two decades in fashion designing
(Tailoring, Embroidery, Magam, etc.) and 250 Nursing assistants in 1 Year. Other initiatives,
such as Kaushalam Center of Excellence, which focuses on upskilling youth in electronics
repair and service, and Nayi Disha, a training program aimed at helping rural and tribal
individuals find employment in the military / armed services, career guidance and free
courses with partners in Information Technology.
Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Seva Bharathi Telangana has directly and
indirectly assisted 2 million beneficiaries in the state through various initatives.
