Nowadays, technology has become a vital element of our lives, shaping how we live, work,

communicate, and interact with the world. In the field of education, technology has provide access to
vast amounts of information whch makes knowledge democractized. Hence, an international webinar
titled "Can Technology enhance Language Learning? " took place via Zoom on September 16, 2023.
Graduate students from various nations were invited to participate in the said online seminar, which
was conducted by the Faculty of Language and Arts at Satya Wacana Christian University in Indonesia.
A group of MEd English students from the Lyceum Northwestern University also participated under
the supervision of their respectable professor, Dr. Melchor Cayabyab.

The webinar discusses the significance of technology and its impact on teachers' teaching styles and
practices in this digitalized generation.Dr. Fei Victor Lim, Dr. Dian Toar Sumakul, and Dr. Willy
Renandaya were three outstanding resource speakers who shared their experiences and discussed
the idea of incorporating technology in language instruction.

Dr. Lim questioned traditional teaching ideas by advocating the use of technology to make language
learning more interactive and dynamic for students. Technology, according to Dr. Sumakul, should be
seen as a supplemental instrument that enhances rather than replaces the functions of educators.The
4Ls of learning, which Dr. Renandaya highlighted, stressed that education shouldn't be restricted to
the classroom but should instead be a life-long journey for everyone, accumulating knowledge
throughout.

The webinar provided valuable perspectives on the impact of technology on education. By enhancing
access, changing the way we learn, increasing engagement, and boosting productivity, technology has
transformed education. It continues to shape the way education is offered and received, posing both
positive and negative problems.
