School of the Arts
Douglas Anderson School of the Arts (DA) opened in August 1985, as an Arts high school.

training those students who will pursue a career in the arts, as well as students who will be

the following areas: Band, Cinematic Arts, Creative Writing, Dance, Guitar, Musical Theatre,
Orchestra, Piano, Performance Theatre, Technical Theatre, Visual Arts and Vocal Music. Of their
eight total courses, students are required to take 3-4 artistic courses yearly.

2021-2022 Scheduling Restrictions due to Covid-19
Due to the availability of SAT/ACT testing, students had reduced opportunities to meet school
eligibility requirements for Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses.

Scheduling options were significantly altered as students had fewer opportunities for rigorous
