WALL HANGING

Materials Needed:
 twisted cotton rope – 380 cm x 2, 280 cm x 4
( ivory, vintage denim, emerald color)
 wooden stick (dowel) length 40 cm, thickness 1.5cm
 tape measure, scissors, S-hooks, knitting needle

Knots to be used:
 lark’s head knot, square knot, berry knot
Preparation:
 emerald color – 380 cm x 2, 280 cm x 4
 vintage denim color – 300 cm x 12
 ivory color – 220 cm x 12
Steps:
 1. After cutting the rope to be used, make a knot (overhand knot)
to prevent the end of the cord from loosing or wrap it around with
masking tape.
2. Fold 380 cm emerald cord in half and make 2 lark’s head knots
(it must be at the center).
3. Fold 280 cm emerald cord in half and make 2 lark’s head knots.
Repeat the process on the other side until the 4 cords are tied on the
dowel
4. Fold 300cm vintage denim color cord in half and make 6 lark’s
head knots. Repeat the process on the other side.
5. Fold the 200 cm ivory color cord in half and make 6 lark’s head
knots. Repeat the process on the other side.
6. Take the 4 cords in the middle and make square knot. Repeat
the process until the cords are tied.
7. Take the 4 cords and make an alternating square knot. Repeat
the previous sequence.
8. Repeat the previous process and make a total of 6 rows of
alternating square knots.
9. Make a berry knot
1. Take the 4 cords in the middle and make 4 square knots.
2. Put the 2 filler cords into the gap and pull them down.
3. Make 1 square knot.
10. Repeat the previous sequence to make 4 more berry knots.
11. Fill the empty parts with the alternating square knots.
12. Make a total of 5 rows of alternating square knots.
 13. Make an inverted triangle shape with alternating square
knots.
14. Add 3 berry knots in the row.
15. Make a total of 5 rows of alternating square knots. (Inverted
triangle)
16. Add 1 berry knot.
17. Make an inverted triangle shape with alternating square
knots.
18. Make a diamond pattern with square knots.
19. Make 4 more diamond patterns.
20. Cut the cords into a V shape.
21. Turn the work inside out to make a part to hang on the wall.
