 The teacher will play an audio-video for a prayer.

 The learners will be reminded on classroom rules and safety protocols.

 Ask the students to illustrate the different processes and methods involved in

Activity:
Movie Lines Hugot: Present via video clips the different classical movie lines and let the
students to realize the following, to wit:
• Identify the title of the movie.
• Analyze the different goals of communication based on their observation.

The following movie lines will be presented to the students: 1. “Walang himala! Ang
himala ay nasa puso ng tao, nasa puso nating lahat! Tayo ang gumagawa ng himala, tayo
ang gumagawa ng mga sumpa at ng mga Diyos, walang himala!" - Nora Aunor in Himala
2. "Ayoko ng tinatapakan ako! Ayoko ng masikip, ayoko ng mainit! Ayoko ng walang
tubig! Ayoko ng mabaho!" - Maricel Soriano in Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit
3. Vilma: Ako ang asawa, kasama sa buhay, kasiping sa kama. Maricel: At ako naman
ang anak. Ang anak, hindi napapalitan. Pero ang asawa, nahihiwalayan. - Yesterday,

Brainstorming
Ask the students about their ideas / knowledge about communication. Use the students’
answers for introducing communication to the students.

The learners will answer the 10 – item activity to test what they know about the topic.

Interactive Discussion:
1. Discuss the definition of communication to the students.

2. Ask the students for different instances of communication to the students.


3. Present different ways of saying a message to the students using different means

Tongue Twister Activity

The following tongue twisters and quotation will be utilized in the game, to wit:
1. Palakang Kabkab, kumakalabukab, kaka-kalabukab pa lamang, kumakalabukab na
naman

2. Pinaputi ni Tepiterio ang pitong puting putong patong patong.


3. Kalabit ng kalabit si Alabit na may bitbit sa balikat ng kanyang kalapit-kabalikat
kapitbahay.

Collaborative Learning: Ask the students about their experiences about the game. Ask
the students on their different roles in the communication process.

Situational Analysis:
1. Provide examples to the students of situations wherein the elements of
communication take place.
2. Let the students share their answers to the class.
3. Let the class analyze the different elements they encounter during the pre-activity.

ACTIVITY:
Provide further examples of situations where
elements of communication affect their daily
lives and let the students discover their roles
in the communication process.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITY:
The learners will watch a video and analyze the elements and level of communication
present in the video clip.

communication before and after the video.

ACTIVITY:
Say it in 1 Minute
The teacher will call two students to do the activity. Each student will say what they
learned for one minute based on the pictures on the slide.
Learners are expected to relate their learned concepts to their personal lives.

Assessment
Read each statement carefully. Write T on the line if you think the statement is TRUE
and FALSE if the statement is wrong.
V. REFLECTION The learners, in their notebooks/journal, at the end of every lesson there will be a part for
them to write their personal insights about the lesson.
