Volunteering:

Volunteering is generally considered an activity where an individual or group freely gives time "to
benefit another person, group or organization". Volunteering is also renowned for skill development
and is often intended to promote goodness or to improve human quality of life.

Leadership:

Leadership is the process of influencing the behavior others towards the

accomplishment of goals in a given situation.

Description:

I myself involved in a volunteering organization in my university which is called

“kalerkontho suvosongho”. There we generally help the helpless and poor people of that area. We
arranged a program named “ Eid Upohar Project” and there I was the group leader in that project.
There I have shown my leadership skill in finding the actual helpless and poor people. I have faced
several obstacles while in finding actual helpless and poor people and the were many wealthy people
who’s condition far well than the real ones. They also demanded help from us which was quit difficult
task to know who were really help less people. Then to solve this issue I made a dissicision to go every
people’s house in that area. Then i myself with my teammates form some sub groups and searched door
to door to find out who were actual needy and poor people. By solving this problem I have followed
some leadership steps they were

 I was a democratic leader so I take the opinions from my teammates.

 I divided the works into sub groups.
 I made sure that everybody was involved in work.
 I appreciated them and gave thanks for everyone’s work.
 I supported my teammates while they were making wrong and showed them right path to do
that work.
