During the period of review undersigned was assigned with following responsibilities:

a.OIC (Sample Cell)

b. OIC (Remnant Cell)

5. Brief Description and enumeration of Scientific and Technical (S&T) work output (as applicable to the officer) :
In capacity of OIC (Sample Cell), undersigned carried out following work:

1. Looked after day to day working of sample handling at sample cell. Streamlined the process of handling of samples and
related documentation in Sample Cell, CL.

2. Swiftly resolved various queries regarding Samples and Test Reports received from Testing Sections and BIS recognized
Laboratories. Appropriate and timely replies were sent to Branch Offices for their queries.

3. Promptly attended to various reminders for test reports received from BOs and replies were sent to BOs regarding the
current status of the samples.

4. Closely monitored the Samples kept under disputed category and resolved the issues related to them by coordinating with
BOs. An appropriate monitoring mechanism was developed to monitor and quickly resolve samples kept under dispute or
samples for which clarifications were pending

5. Proactively informed BOs regarding non-acceptance of samples and test request discrepancies before receiving samples
in contract review to reduce no. of disputed samples.

6. Ensured timely distribution of samples to testing sections and timely uploading of test reports in LIMS and Manakonline.in.

7. Sent details of each test report such as Testing Charges and sample codes to administration department for GST Invoice

ondaily basis. The Test Reports were promptly uploaded after receipt of the invoices.

8. Prepared MCR of CL for each month at end of the period, for approval and further sent to Competent Authority for perusal.

9. Verified count of the samples available in CL by physical counting of the samples in each testing section. The counts were
matched by considering withdrawals of samples from testing, splitting of samples while forwarding for testing and return of
samples. The differences observed were adjusted to represent actual figures in MCR.

10. Set up a system for daily monitoring of Sample distribution, test report receipt and sample pendency in CL at sample cell.
Reported daily and weekly status report to Competent Authority for perusal.

11. Actively reported issues faced by laboratories in manakonline portal to Support Departments for resolution and better
implementation.

12. Helped in streamlining the newly developed LIMS software in the lab and adopted the LIMS plateform for all
communication & reporting activities related to testing as OIC (sample cell).

In capacity of OIC (Remnant Cell), undersigned carried out following work:

1. Looked after day to day activities of Remnant Cell. Streamlined remnant receiving and their retention for easy retrieval of
remnants when required.

2. Put up remnants for disposal after their retention period.

3. Timely returned remnants of valuable items such as gold samples to Manufacturers or Branch Offices. Remnants of gold
were returned after weighing and sealing the remnants in RAL.

assigned
and done (indicate targets fixed, if any); contributions of manegerial nature;special assignments;constraints.
