Invitation to nominate for positions

of trust within SFS 2024-2025
financial year
The Nomination Committee hereby invites nominations for positions of trust within
SFS!

The document contains information on which positions of trust nominations may be

submitted for, who can be nominated, who can nominate, and the format for
nominations and when they must be received.

The Nomination Committee has collected information on what the member unions
consider important for the positions and has updated the requirement profiles in
accordance with the suggested amendments.

Positions of trust
The positions of trust for which nominations may be submitted are:

● SFS Presidium*
● Members of the SFS Board
● SFS auditors
● Members of the SFS Election Committee

*The Nomination Committee will consider all nominations received for the
Presidium as nominations for Board member as well unless otherwise stated
in the nomination.

Eligibility and right to nominate

According to the SFS Statute, all nominees are eligible for elected positions within
SFS. The updated requirement profiles for the various positions of trust can be found
at SFS webpage. Please note that the requirement profiles are not definite. All
members can be nominated and be up for election. The Nomination Committee will
follow the requirement profiles to the best extent to ensure fair and transparent

election process. The Nomination Committee will make overall assessments with
representation and compatibility in mind when suggesting candidates.

The following have a right to nominate:

● SFS member unions

● General Assembly representatives at the meeting at which the election is
to take place
● Members of the SFS Board
● Members of the SFS Doctoral Student Committee (SFS-DK)
● Members of the SFS Nomination Committee
● A group of at least ten members of a member union

The member unions that have already appointed representatives to the SFS
General Assembly are encouraged to forward this invitation to nominate to
the appointed representatives.

Nomination
The nomination must contain the following information:

● The name and contact details (telephone number and email address) of the
person or persons nominating.
● The nominee’s name and contact details (telephone number and email address)
● Which elected position or positions the person is nominated for

The nomination must be sent via Google forms to the Nominating Committee
no later than 29 March at 23.59.
