Meliaura is a women’s enterprise having its manufacturing facility located in God’s
Own Country of India. Here over 80% of the workforce are women. Most of the
female employees in factory are mainly from disadvantaged backgrounds and are
uneducated. These women are coming from rural area of Kerala. Working at the
factory provides these women with much needed self-confidence and financial
independence. Meliaura is committed to empowerment of women. When we
empower a woman, we are empowering a family, and thereby society.

About Packaging
Our Areca palm leaf packaging
is entirely natural too, made
from leaves shed by the areca
palm. The Areca palm tree
grows in Southern India and is
cultivated for its nuts. Around
7 times a year the trees
naturally shed their leaves
which are collected from the
areca nut plantation. After
collection the palm leaves are
brought to the factory for
production and packaging.
About Our Soaps
Maliaura soaps were created because of a sincere concern about the harsh
chemicals present in skin care products and the adverse effects of these chemicals on
us, our children and our planet. The USP of the products is that they are 100% natural
and chemical free.
No colorants used, and the fragrances used are
essential oils and fragrances that are plant based and
chemical free. Our soaps are 100 % handmade,
beautiful, and offer an excellent and gentle cleaning
power. They all lather easily with a rich, creamy, and
bubbly lather.
Bottom line is that by choosing handmade soap, you
can enjoy a bar of real soap that leaves you with soft
skin and lasts longer than a typical store-bought bar.

About Our Soaps
Meliaura offers an array of beautifully patterned, detoxifying, fragrant handmade soaps
crafted using natural ingredients like mint, rose, tulsi, goat milk, vanilla, honey, olive oil,
coconut oil, activated charcoal, aloe Vera, glycerin, almond oil, lemongrass, etc.
Unlike commercial soap, natural soap is made from a chemical reaction between
water, lye (also known as sodium hydroxide), and fats and oils. These fats and oil are
turned into soap and glycerin by a chemical process called ‘saponification’. This
process, when completed properly, leaves you with pure soap, glycerin, and some
residue from the natural ingredients in the individual recipe.

Cedarwood “Atlas” is mildly astringent, antibacterial & antifungal, making it a good addition to
