2 DESCRIPTION
The ISOJOINT ISOTELHA PIR, ISOJOINT FRIGO PIR, ISOJOINT ISOFACHADA PIR,
and ISOTELHA COLONIAL PIR insulated building panels are described as follows:
2.1.1 ISOJOINT ISOTELHA PIR, ISOJOINT FRIGO PIR, ISOJOINT ISOFACHADA PIR, and
ISOTELHA COLONIAL PIR panels are insulated wall and ceiling building panels with a
polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam core and prefinished (optional) galvanized steel facers.
2.1.2 ISOJOINT ISOTELHA PIR panels are internal wall/ceiling panels and/or roof panels and
are 1.18-5.90in (30-150mm) thick by 39.4in (1000mm) wide with minimum 0.0170 in
(0.43 mm) interior and exterior facers
2.1.3 ISOJOINT FRIGO PIR panels are internal wall/ceiling panels and/or external wall panels
and are 1.97-7.87in (50-200mm) thick by 43.3in (1100mm) wide with minimum 0.0170 in
(0.43 mm) interior and exterior facers
2.1.4 ISOJOINT ISOFACHADA PIR panels are internal wall/ceiling panels and/or external wall
panels and are 1.97-3.94in (50-100mm) thick by 43.3in (1100mm) wide with minimum
0.0170 in (0.43 mm) interior and 0.0197in (0.50mm) exterior facers
2.1.5 ISOTELHA COLONIAL PIR panels are internal wall/ceiling panels and/or roof panels
and are 1.18-3.94in (30-100mm) thick by 39.4in (1000mm) wide with minimum 0.0170 in
(0.43 mm) interior and and 0.0197in (0.50mm) exterior facers
2.2 There are three different polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam systems which could be utilized for
these panels. Each foam system consist of a polyol, isocyanate, catalyst(s), and blowing
agent, which are mixed together at Anapolis Goias – GO or Vitória de Santo Antão – PE.
Each component is listed below and the formulation and specifications are on file at FM
Approval:
Foam system
• Polyol – Elastopir 1139/400/8
• Isocyanate – Elastopor P1046U
• Catalysts – Elastopir KX 491 and Elastpir KX958/1
• Blowing Agent – Cyclopentane
• Adhesive - Elastopor H1129/5

2.3 Assembly of the panels shall included prefinished (optional) galvanized steel minimum 4*
x 2in (102* x 51mm) angle flashing 0.02in (0.62mm) thick that shall be placed over the
top internal corners of all walls before the ceiling is installed. *Note: The 4in (102mm) is
based on a 200mm thick panel. This measurement of the angle flashing, which is placed
on top of a wall, is based on the panel thickness and must be 50% of the panel’s
thickness.
2.4 Assembly of the interior corners are finished with prefinished (optional) galvanized steel
minimum 3 x 3in (80 x 80mm) angle flashing fastened minimum 11.8 in (300mm) on
center. An additional fastener must be placed at the ends of all flashing regardless of
spacing.
2.5 Hilti FS-ONE MAX Fire stop sealant is required between panel joints and along all interior
corner flashing, as detailed in section 1.4
2.6 Hard DURS PB 12-14 fasteners and Isoeste Industria e Comercio de Isolantes Termicos
Ltda ARRUELA 32MM-Thrulok washers are used to secure external wall and/or roof
panel assemblies, as detailed in section 1.4
3.1 Samples were submitted for examination and testing. The samples were considered to
be representative of standard production and were examined or tested as indicated
below. All data is on file at FM Approvals along with other documents and
correspondence applicable to this program.
3.2 All testing and analysis considered appropriate was conducted and verified to be in
compliance with the Standards defined in Section 1.3.
3.3 Several performance requirements and tests required by the Standard have been
waived due to previous successful testing. See Table 1 below for details.

4 MARKING
4.1 The manufacturer shall mark each panel or packing container with the manufacturer's
name and product trade name. In addition, the panel or container must be marked with
the Approval Mark of FM Approvals.
4.2 The manufacturer shall mark the packaging for exterior wall systems with the
manufacturer’s name, product trade name and the Approval mark of FM Approvals.
4.3 The manufacturer shall mark each component of an FM Approved exterior wall system
consisting of a long section with the Approval mark of FM Approvals, where practicable.
Such markings may be located on the backside of the component such that the markings
cannot be seen after the component has been installed.
4.4 Upon completion of an installation, the manufacturer shall attach permanent, corrosion
resistant nameplates to the exterior of the building. The nameplates shall be visible from
ground level. At a minimum, the nameplates shall bear the manufacturer’s name,
product trade name, date of construction, the Approval mark of FM Approvals and the
applicable Approval ratings for fire, wind and hail.
4.5 With the exception of the nameplates installed on the exterior of the building after the
completion of an installation, labels or markings denoting Approval shall be applied by

the manufacturer only within and on the premises of manufacturing locations that are
under the FM Approvals Surveillance Audit Program.
4.6 The manufacturer agrees that use of the FM Approvals name or Approval Mark is
subject to the conditions and limitations of the Approval by FM Approvals. Such
conditions and limitations must be included in all references to Approval by FM
Approvals.
5 REMARKS
5.1 Continued Approval is based upon fabrication and construction of the ISOJOINT
ISOTELHA PIR, ISOJOINT FRIGO PIR, ISOJOINT ISOFACHADA PIR, and ISOTELHA
COLONIAL PIR insulated building panels in accordance with this Approval Report,
satisfactory field experience and continued use of acceptable quality control procedures
as determined by Surveillance Audits.
5.2 The combustible core system described in section 2.2 has not been evaluated for the
toxicity of the products of combustion.
5.3 The wind and hail ratings established in Section 1.4 of this report are to be used in
conjunction with FM Global Property Loss Prevention Data Sheets 1-28 Design Wind
Loads, 1-34 Hail Damage and 1-57 Plastics in Construction.
5.4 The securement of the roof system must be enhanced at the building corners and
perimeter as outlined in FM Global Property Loss Prevention Data Sheet 1-31.

8 DOCUMENTATION
The following document describes the ISOJOINT ISOTELHA PIR, ISOJOINT FRIGO
PIR, ISOJOINT ISOFACHADA PIR, and ISOTELHA COLONIAL PIR insulated building
panels and is on file at FM Approvals.
9 CONCLUSION
9.2 Test results show 1) the panels in and of themselves would not create a need for
automatic sprinklers and 2) the panels would be acceptable in a combustible occupancy
protected by automatic sprinklers as defined by FM Global Property Loss Prevention
Standards.
9.3 The steel facings of the panels must be positively secured to the core by 1) attachment
of the entire panel assembly to supporting structural members with mechanical fasteners
or 2) positive attachment of the interior panel facer to the external panel facer with
mechanical fasteners.
9.4 Approval is effective as of the date of this report since a duly signed Master Agreement
is on file for this customer.
9.5 Continued Approval will depend upon satisfactory field experience and periodic
Surveillance Audits.
