SYSTEM STUDY

System analysis is defined as the process of gathering and interpreting facts, diagnosing
problems and using the factors to improve the system. The objectives of the system analysis
phase is the establishment of the requirement for the system to be acquired, developed and
installed facts finding or gathering is essential to any analysis of requirements.

2.1 EXISTING SYSTEM

In the current scenario, the existing system has many flaws which make it inefficient to
carry on with it. Event management work of the referred company is done manually. It becomes
difficult maintaining all details of events, customers and the services. The execution of the event
sometimes delays due to some unmanageable obstruction in planning. As far as quality is
concerned it is ok and not satisfying but not as good when handled using a computerized system.
Now the drawbacks of the existing system can be stated in terms as follows Some Common
Mistakes.

2.1.1 DRAWBACKS

 It is time consuming as the system is handled manually.

 Assurance of data security is not given.

 In long run, it is difficult to maintain records.

 Manpower requirement is huge.

 It is hectic to handle the huge transaction.

2.2 PROPOSED SYSTEM

Event management is the application of project management to the creation and

development of large or small scale events such as festivals, conferences, ceremonies, formal
parties, concerts, or conventions. The last few years have seen a rapid growth in the event
management industry. Considering the existing system problems related to event management
we are developing an application for event management. Application will mainly focus on
birthday party, marriage functions and social events. Application will have easy and feasible
GUI for all type of users. User needs to Login at the initial phase, set his/her profile details
including location, choices, email-id, etc. User can modify or change His/her profile at any stage.
The core phase of the application will display list of events. This event will further contain
description about event, its exact location, date and time. In this paper we present an application
to make it easier for a layman to plan an event in a hassle-free manner. This application will
assist him/her in planning a successful and fun event

2.2.1 FEATURES

 You can look more professional and organized

 Social media makes promotion easier

 You can put all your information in one place

 It costs so much less

 Collect payments or donations through a secure service

 You can collect registrations 24/7

 You can stay in touch more easily

2.3 FEASIBILITY STUDY
A feasibility study is a test of a system proposal according to its workability, impact
on the organization, ability to meet user needs and effective use of resources. It is a high capsule
version of the entire system analysis and design process. The objective of the feasibility analysis
is to determine whether the proposed system is feasible.
There are four aspect of the feasibility analysis to which proposed system subjected to
the details are discussed below:

 Economical feasibility
 Technical feasibility
 Operational feasibility

ECONOMICAL FEASIBILITY
Economical feasibility is the frequently used method for evaluating the effectiveness
of the candidate system. It is more commonly known as cost/benefit analysis. The procedure is to
determine the benefits and saving that are expected from the candidate system and compare them
with cost. This is a ongoing effect that improves the accuracy at each phase of the system life
cycle. It benefits outweigh costs and then the decision is mode to design and implement the
system.
In the case of this gate management system the performance of the proposed system is
expected to be cost effective owing to its accuracy, real time response and user friendliness.

TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY
Technical feasibility centers on the existing system(hardware & software) and to what
extent it can support the proposed addition. This involves the financial consideration to
accommodate technical enhancements. It the budget is a serious constraint the project is budget
not feasible.
The availability of technology like PHP and MYSQL has helped for developing the
software and implementing if in the concern. Since, the applications are user friendly. The
development of the software becomes easier and technically feasible.

OPERATIONAL FEASIBILITY
People are inherently resistant to change while computers have been known to
facilitate change. Operational feasibility determines how effect must will go into educating,
selling and training to the user staff on the candidate system. It the staff is computer literate then
only an introductory training in data entry and operating the system
