PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
As a Computer Engineer with a background and interest in Embedded Systems Design and Computer Architecture, I am seeking Research
Positions to gain hands-on experience and contribute towards solving open problems in the field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Undergraduate Research Assistant, Iowa State University – CCEE Department May 2022 – Present
• Integrated lighting systems into electrical enclosures for imaging technologies such as Area Scan Cameras, Line Scan Cameras, and
Laser Line Profilers, resulting in improved image quality and accuracy of clean and dirty cylinder heads.
• Configured serial and client/server communication protocols to control load frames for flexural strength testing of acid exposed and
non-acid exposed beams, enabling efficient and accurate testing.
• Developed software in C/C++ to trigger imaging technologies and automate data acquisition for imaging clean and dirty cylinder
heads. Developed algorithms for processing, and stitching images with OpenCV and MATLAB.
• Prepared and Trained Datasets using object detection models such as Yolov8, for surface defect detection. Developed Software to
Threshold and Segment defects from the Regions of Interest(ROI) defined by the Deep Learning Model.
• Implemented LabView code for data acquisition from various systems in the department, streamlining data analysis processes and
increasing accuracy of results.
Undergraduate Research Assistant, Iowa State University – Data Storage Lab May 2023 – August 2023
• Deployed and managed Ceph clusters on Amazon AWS EC2, focusing on the influence of BlueStore caching, and conducted
encoding and repair time experiments that informed the research paper titled "Real-World Performance of Erasure Codes in
Distributed Storage Systems."
• Benchmarked Data Storage Lab's custom Fault Injection Simulation (FIS) against AWS's native FIS using CloudWatch logs, providing
key insights into system resilience and performance.

EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science, Computer Engineering, Iowa State University May 2024
● Major GPA 3.62/4.0 | Overall GPA 3.53/4.0
● Dean’s List Spring 2021, Spring 2022, Fall 2022, Spring 2023, Fall 2023
● Voyager Scholarship Spring 2021, Fall 2021
● International Merit Scholarship Spring 2022, Fall 2022
PROJECTS
Autonomous Quad UAV February 2024 – Mach 2024
● Designed a Zynq 7000 FPGA-based PPM signal capture and generate IP core, that captures PPM signals from an RC controller in Hardware Relay
Mode, stores the clock cycle counts, and then generates PPM signals in Software Relay Mode for autonomous flight in playback mode. We filtered
the individual PPM signal channels to improve flight quality and make maneuvering easier for beginners.
Hardware Accelerator Design October 2023 – December 2023
● Designed a Zynq 7000 FPGA-based accelerator using Vitis and Vivado for the Tiny ImageNet model, implementing an output-stationary architecture
and Floating-Point DSPs to enhance image processing efficiency.
Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling of a Raspberry PI with sensor workloads October 2023 – December 2023
● Engineered a system for dynamic voltage and frequency scaling on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+, tailored for varied sensor workloads; the system
dynamically adjusted power settings based on workload intensity, achieving optimal balance between energy consumption and processing speed on
the ARM A53 processor.
Botnet Attack Simulation on Bare Metal Nodes hosted by Cloud Lab October 2023 – December 2023
● Developed and executed a botnet attack simulation on Cloud Lab's bare-metal nodes, analyzing system vulnerabilities and effectiveness of defense
mechanisms under realistic network attack scenarios, enhancing understanding of network security protocols.
MIPS Single and Multi-Cycle Processor Design August 2022 – December 2022
● Built a fully functional Single and Multi-Cycle MIPS processor that runs various instructions of the MIPS Assembly Language.
Frontend Developer, Driveway Parking App August 2022 – December 2022
● Developed a fully functional android mobile application using Android Studio(Java) on the Frontend, and Spring Boot and MySQL on the backend,
which allows users to rent out as well as list their parking spaces, similar to Air BNB.
Autonomous Valet Parking May 2022 – July 2022
● Built an autonomous valet parking service by configuring a Tiva™ TM4C123GH6PM Microcontroller on a Roomba, and simulated the service on a
test field, resulting in a working prototype with successful navigation and recall functionality.
AWARDS AND ACCOLADES
● Course on Software Development Practices – Best Coder, Best Manager, Best Project 2022
● Asia Regional Space Settlement Design Competition – Best Company and Best Head of Department 2019
