Self-Reflection:

 I feel like I met the requirements of the rubric, because my children’s book, watercolor
painting, and podcast were all creative, detailed, and had different genres. My notes page
was correct and evident, while my dear reader letter was thoughtful and insightful.

 I am proud of all my artifacts, because I put a lot of time and effort into them to make
them creative, different, and enjoyable. I’m very happy with all three of them.

 Figuring out how to express my topic in a watercolor painting for one of my artifacts was
difficult. I finally came up with an idea that shows someone intruding and I think it
matches my project very well.

 I used my time very well in the beginning and created a PowerPoint of when I wanted to
finish certain sections by. By the time I got to my last artifact, I started to procrastinate,
but I pushed through and I’m happy with my project.

 Something I found surprising while researching is how common random violence is and
that people rarely do things to prevent it.

 My best source of information was from the database, Gale in Context: Global Issues. I
found very good stories to help inform me about this topic.

 This research project is different from the traditional paper I completed last year, because
it had a lot more layers to it. The three artifacts, notes page, dear reader letter, and the
self-reflection is like a well-rounded circle together. Each part dives deeper into my topic,
why I chose it, and how to prevent it.
