CRISTHIAN MADRID
CEDAR WAXWING BIRD
The cedar waxwing is a medium-sized songbird with a sleek, crested head and a
short, wide bill. It is named for its wax-like wing tips, which are actually small, red
droplets of keratin that are thought to be used for display or to help the bird catch
insects.

BALTIMORE ORIOLE
The Baltimore oriole (Icterus galbula) is a small, bright orange and black bird that
is common in eastern North America. It is a member of the Icteridae family,
which also includes blackbirds and cowbirds.
CHIPPING SPARROW
The Chipping Sparrow is a small, common songbird found across most of North
America. It is a member of the sparrow family and is named for its characteristic
"chip" call. Chipping Sparrows are typically 5 inches long and weigh about 0.4
ounces. They have a brown back, a white breast, and a reddish-brown cap.

BROWN-HEADED COWBIRD
The brown-headed cowbird (Molothrus ater) is a small, stocky blackbird with a
fascinating approach to raising its young. Females forgo building nests and
instead put all their energy into producing eggs, sometimes more than three
dozen a summer. They lay their eggs in the nests of other bird species, who then
raise the young cowbirds.
ROBIN
The robin is a small, plump passerine bird with a distinctive reddish-orange
breast and a cheerful, melodious song. It is a common sight in gardens and
woodlands throughout Europe, North America, and Asia. There are two main
species of robin: the European robin (Erithacus rubecula) and the American
robin (Turdus migratorius).

GRACKLE

Grackles are large, blackbirds with long legs and a long, heavy bill. They are
common in North America, where they are found in a variety of habitats,
including open fields, woodlands, and urban areas.
SONG SPARROW
The Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia) is a small, plump sparrow native to
North America. It is one of the most common and widely distributed birds in
North America, with a range that stretches from Alaska to Mexico. Song
Sparrows are easily identified by their streaked brown plumage, white breast,
and rufous-capped head. They are also known for their beautiful, melodic songs.

AMERICAN GOLDFINCH
The American goldfinch (Spinus tristis) is a small finch native to North America. It
is a migratory bird, breeding in Canada and the northern United States and
wintering in the southern United States, Mexico, and Central America. The
American goldfinch is a common sight in backyards and gardens, where it is
attracted to feeders.
EASTERN MEADOWLARK

The Eastern meadowlark (Sturnella magna) is a medium-sized songbird of the


Icteridae family. It is native to eastern North America, from southern Canada to
northern Mexico. It is a common sight in open fields, meadows, and pastures.

HOUSE FINCH
The House Finch (Haemorhous mexicanus) is a small, common passerine bird
native to western North America. It has been introduced to the eastern half of the
continent and Hawaii. The House Finch is a member of the finch family
Fringillidae.
