POSTING OF PUBLIC WARNING ON THE ACCREDITATION AND
RECOMMENDATION OF BRAND, STORES OR DISTRIBUTORS OF FIRE
EXTINGUISHERS

A. Memorandum dated 12 September 2023 signed by SUPT

CONRADO M BALMORES JR, DSC, Regional Chief of staff re:
above subject.

B. Joint memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 2019-001 series of 2019,

The implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Republic Act
(R.A) No. 11032 otherwise known as the “Ease of Doing Business
and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018”

C. Memorandum re: Reiteration of BFP Memorandum Circular

Number 2016-016 re: Prohibition on BFP Personnel from Engaging
in any Act of Impropriety and /or Corruption Pertaining to the
Enforcement and Implementation of the Fire Code, and Providing
Sanctions Thereof dated 26 February 2018; and

D. Memorandum Circular Number 2016-016 re: Prohibition on BFP

Personnel from Engaging in any Act of Impropriety and /or
Corruption Pertaining to the Enforcement and Implementation of
the Fire Code, and Providing Sanctions Thereof dated 10 August
2016.

2. Summary/Details of the Operation/Activity

Who: Bureau of Fire Protection- Hagonoy Fire Station Personnel.

What: Posting of Public Warning on the Accreditation and Recommendation of

Brand, Stores or Distributors of Fire Extinguishers

When: 20 1000H September 2023

Where: BFP Building, LGU Compound Poblacion Hagonoy Davao Del Sur.

Why: To remind that recommending or “acting or posting as agent or endorser

in favor of any manufacturer, dealer or supplier of fire extinguisher or
firefighting equipment” is explicitly prohibited from any BFP Personnel and
is ground for criminal and administrative charges.

How: Hagonoy Fire Station personnel posted the “Public Warning” poster in
front of the BFP Hagonoy Admin Office and Station Facebook Account.

 3. Discussion/Assessment
 In connection with the above subject, Hagonoy Fire Station
spearheaded by SFO4 David J Miralles, Acting Municipal Fire
Marshal posted this Public warning at the conspicuous area of
the station and in the Station’s Official Facebook Account for the
widest dissemination.
