Desktop Windows GUI Developer

This role requires an individual with a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a GUI Developer and who seeks
upward mobility on a leadership career track. The goal is for this individual to transition into a manager role in
the next 5 years and as such, leadership experience would be an asset. A strong command of English, both
verbal and written, is essential to support our clients.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid/remote work location. Candidates must be able to travel to R&D
office in Langley, British Columbia during feature collaboration, initial startup training and product support.

Position Summary:
As a Desktop Windows GUI (Graphic User Interface) Developer, you will be responsible for designing,
developing, and maintaining user-friendly graphical user interfaces (GUI) applications using Windows
operating systems for industrial power control products. The successful candidate will use creative and
technical skills to develop high-performance, intuitive user interfaces that meet customer needs and exceed
industry standards.

Major Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Windows graphical user interfaces for industrial power control
products
• Perform usability testing and feedback to improve the user experience
• Analyze customer requirements and develop solutions that address customer needs
• Ensure application compatibility and functionality on various Windows operating systems
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides
• Follow best practices for developing software for Windows operating systems
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders on specs, architecture and
development/testing to ensure the successful completion of projects
• Ensure applications are compatible with multiple versions of Windows operating systems
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Provide internal and product support for technical issues of developed applications
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements to improve the user experience.
• Develop user interface prototypes to ensure efficient and effective solutions
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience and Skills:


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering of Computer Science or equivalent related experience
preferred.
• Five (5) year of relevant experience with proficiency in Visual Studio Design, C++/11, MFC, Multi-
Threading Experience, Networking understanding and experience, C#/.NET, WinForms, WPF
• Previous experience with VB.NET and VBA Scripting preferred
• Knowledge of industrial power control systems and protocols is a plus
• Previous knowledge or experience with 3 phase power would be a bonus
• VB.NET and VBA Scripting expertise would be a bonus to support legacy products.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• VB.NET: 5 years (preferred)
• Visual Studio Design: 5 years (preferred)
• Industrial Power Controls System: 1 year (preferred)
