Journal 1 Entry: 17th June

During my internship, I was introduced to some of the tools and techniques within the
following two weeks. There were also some books which suggested Project
Management that started with the building of the pyramids. Such management started
in the twentieth century. According to the Module 2 topic on who is involved in
projects, I am trying to relate it to my practical life. I try to remember that no matter
how huge and overwhelming my project may seem at the beginning, it is at most an
SFIA level 4 project and so “manageable” in regular Project Management terms. One
issue in the workplace is that me trying to keep in mind the concept of Project Creep
and Project Control to maintain a professional environment in the workplace.
List of SFIA Generic skills

In my opinion, the SFIA skill identification exercise helped me a lot in finding my

strength and weakness related to project management as it includes a process of self-
evaluation. I think self-evaluation helps most in identifying the grounds on which we
lack and needs to be improved.
