**Objectives:**

By the end of this module, you should be able to:

**1. Distinguish the differences among the three (3) management levels:**

- Executive

- Mid-Management

- Supervisory

**2. Cite the skills and demands required of the three (3) levels mentioned above.**

**Management Levels:**

1. **Executive Level:**

- Concerned with setting goals and envisioning the organization's future.

- Focus on the organization's impact on clientele and relevance to their needs.

- Collaborate with external agencies for resource generation and coordination.

- Key role in communicating and ensuring cooperation and commitment.

- Requires strong conceptualization and forecasting skills.

- Responsibilities include long-range planning, resource generation, and allocation.

2. **Mid-Management Level:**

- Translate organizational vision and mandate into program and budget.

- Skills in program decision-making and coordination.

- Translate strategic thoughts into operational programs.

- Prepare program budgets and establish control mechanisms.

3. **Supervisory Level (Operational):**

- Directly manage workers, facilities, equipment, and work.


- Expertise in production and on-the-job worker training.

- Responsibilities include coaching, guiding, and maintaining discipline.

**Comparison of Management Levels:**

- **Executive Level:**

- Position: Research Executive

- Function: Long-range planning, total system view, resource generation, resource allocation
(strategies), designing

- **Mid-Level (Mid-Management):**

- Position: -

- Function: Translation into operational plans, coordinating, budget preparation, control (quality and
financial)

- **Supervisory Level (Operational):**

- Position: -

- Function: Supervision of job production (task-people-machines), discipline, on-the-job training,


guiding, coaching

**Responsibilities at Each Level:**

- **Executive Level:** Setting goals, mission, vision, establishing linkages, communicating.

- **Mid-Management Level:** Translating long-range plans, vision, and priorities into operational plans
and budgets.

- **Supervisory Level (Operational):** Controlling production, guiding, coaching, and maintaining


discipline.
