1. PURPOSE:

To define the scope of activities carriedout in QA - Laboratory.

2. SCOPE:

* Inspection of Geometrical Measurements , Linear Measurements, Physical Properties( Tensile Strength, Elongation, hardness and Radial Load)and Chemical
Properties (Titration) Related to Metal Components, Springs and Seals to provide evidence of confirmity of components of products as per determined
requirements by Trained Inspectors.

* Monitoring and Calibration of all Measuring instruments at specificed intervals with Internal facilities and External Laboratiories as per required
International or National measurement Standards or as per defined procedures. External Laboratiories with NABL accredated/ Original Equipment
Manufacturer in case of No. certified bodies are not available.

3. DEFINITIONS:
3.1 LABORATORY:

A laboratory is a place where specific inspection, testing activities are performed.

3.1 LABORATORY SCOPE:

It is a description containing the following :

1. The ability and competence of laboratory to perform specific inspection activities.

2. A list of equipment, which it uses to perform the above.

3. A list of methods & standards to which it performs the above.
