Performance Task Option 1: gEoNERGIZE


Content:
Performance Standard: Create a miniature/model representing how energy from volcano or earth’s interior
is generated to produce electricity and being distributed in the community.
Competency:
1. Identify the basic parts of geothermal power plant and how it utilize to generate electricity.
2. Demonstrate the distribution from the geothermal power plant to the residence of a community.
3. Recognize the of value of using the earth’s thermal energy as a safe source of electricity.
Instruction:
-You may use 1/8 size illustration board in creating your output.
-Show the basic parts of geothermal power plants and print/write it labels.
-Present the distribution of electricity from the geothermal power plant to the residences of the
community.
-You can use sticks, carton box, and other materials you can use to represent the essential parts.
-Add creativity and design to your output.
-See the rubrics below for your guide in accomplishing your output.
-Submit your output on or before February 25, 2022.

Content: Volcanic Eruption
Performance Standard: Create a simple brochure featuring the dramatic scenery created by volcanic eruption
to attract tourist.
Competency: Sample Output
1. Explain what happens when volcanoes erupt.
2. Identify features of volcanic eruptions.
3. Appreciate the positive effects of volcanic
eruptions.

Instruction:
-Using long bond paper, create a simple brochure
featuring the dramatic scenery created by volcanic
eruption to attract tourist.
-Indicate in the brochure the features of volcanic
eruptions and some of its positive effects.
-Show your creativity using coloring materials or
any creative design that will show creativity and design.

Content: Volcanoes
Performance Standard: Create an instructional video that explain the concepts about volcanoes.
Competency:
1. Identify the types of volcano and its volcanic eruptions.
2. Explain the the types of volcano and its volcanic eruptions.
Instruction:
-Video at least 1-2 minutes .
-Discuss the following on the video:
-What is volcano?
-What are the types of volcanoes?
-What are the types of volcanic eruptions?
-Write your captions in a text box while you insert your recorded voice reading the texts/captions.
-No need to show/video yourself, record your voice only.
-You can download pictures of types of volcanoes and its volcanic eruptions to add creativity and details
on your video output.
