Department of Computer Applications (MCA) along with Training & Placement Cell (TPC) has organized a one-day industrial visit to
LTIMindtree, Bengaluru on 21.12.2023 (Thursday). The company has permitted only 100 students.
Objective:
The aim of this visit is that students has to get aware of company environment, working culture, meant to know the opportunities available
with IT sector and prepare the students to meet the requirements of the IT industry.
Schedule:
The travel started exactly at 5:30 am from our college campus with two buses accompanying 100 students, after a traditional puja.
The students were coordinated by Mr.Saravanan.T, Dr.Nirmaladevi.N from MCA department and Mr.Drupad Verma, Mr.Jayachandra.M
from TPC.
We reached the company around 11 am and proceeded to registration to avail the pass. The industrial visit ended around 3 pm, and started
back and reached college campus by 10:30 pm.

Campus Engagement Program:

Ms.Katya Lohani, (Senior Executive – Talent Acquisition, University Liaison & Early Career Engagement, LTIMindtree) welcomed our
students, took care of all the proceedings, like registration, providing the visitor pass, arrangements of the session, lunch and refreshments
etc.,
Mr.Chandan Pani (Associate Vice President, LTIMindtree) handled the session to our students on “Building Career in Data Engineering
& Overview on AI/Gen AI”. The session was for about one hour where he delivered a wonderful lecture on the topic.

• A brief history about the company (LTIMindtree — a Larsen & Toubro Group company — combines the industry-acclaimed
strengths of erstwhile Larsen and Toubro Infotech and Mindtree in solving the most complex business challenges and
delivering transformation at scale)
• Focusing on future projects with AI/Gen AI (At LTIMindtree, we constantly push the boundaries of what’s possible by
leveraging our expertise, experience, and innovative ecosystem to empower enterprises, people, and communities to build a
better Future, Faster)

Mr.Pramod M.V (Director, Talent Acquisition, and LTIMindtree) handled the session with his lecture on AI and discussed more
information about the preparedness to meet the demand of IT sector.
Questionnaire Session:

The resource persons ended the session by taking the feedback and questions from the students.

The answers from the experts for the feedback of students are;

1. No machines can replace humans, as AI will create opportunities rather than deployment, for example how swiggy, zomato,
and foodie apps created lakhs of opportunities to the youngsters.
2. The IT companies’ doors are open for the young minds who are intellectual, committed and passion towards their respective
streams.
3. AI/Gen AI can play a vital role in the near future and students need to update themselves to meet the company requirements.

Take away from the visit:

• Students understood the company expectations
• Students observed the real time working culture and enjoyed the infrastructure
• Students got an idea on how to prepare themselves to build their career on AI.

Mr.Drupad Verma expressed his thanks to Mr.Pramod and his team of LTIMindtree for providing this wonderful opportunity and discussed
about campus hiring, and workshops etc.

Industrial visit to LTIMindtree was very useful. The information provided by the
organization was informative, and the interaction with company representatives sounds
good. The visit enhanced our understanding of industry process, upcoming technologies

Industrial visit is one of the unique & memorable experience I had. The experts addressed
us with upcoming projects of the company, the role of AI and the process of talent

It was one of the wonderful experience and I got to know about the work environment and
their culture but the only regret is that they didn’t allow us to look their workspace -

This was the first time I had been to the industrial visit. I feels benefited and got practical
knowledge on how the company functioning. The trip was awesome and enjoyed the
entire day. Mostly I loved the environment of LTIMindtree, the lecture on AI/GeN AI
through that seminar and got new knowledge about AI and GENAI. Finally, I thank my

Happy with the part of this industrial visit. It was my first time visiting a MNC company
