Julie High Technology - Teachers keep learning new technology

tools to provide the best education possible
for students.
- Encourage students to use technology to join
in the learning process.
- Discover and share resources and ideas with
colleagues and students.
- Integrate new technology into classroom
instruction.
- Find the right tools to make the difference in
the learning experience of students.

James The ability to -Students need to speak a shared language. As

collaborate English is the language of the world, our students
need good English language skills
-Ability to work in groups
-Ability to work with people they don’t have good
relationships with
-Ability to make presentations
-Ability to be an active listener

Katie Keeping -Teachers need to integrate rich educational

students content into remote instruction.
engaged -We need to teach students how to actively use
virtually, low their devices to learn.
student -Involve students in open ended tasks. Not just the
motivation and recall of knowledge, but critical thinking and being
lack of tech proactive.

off each other and establish a sense of community
and teamwork, even in a remote setting.

Araunah Teaching - Instill consciousness of choice in learning

students to take - Help students set personal goals
initiative/value - Don’t use failure as motivation for success
learning - Change the format of learning to “puzzle -
intrinsically solving”/make learning into a game
- Use technology skillfully
- Show students how to apply skills in real-life
scenarios (How to Spark Intrinsic Motivation
in Your Students, 2017)
- According to the Future of Jobs 2018
Infographic, an important skill set for future
employment is “active learning, learning
strategies and learning initiative”. These are
skills that are not currently taught in most
schools. Students often lack intrinsic
motivation to learn new material and are
often unaware of the deeper value of
learning for the sake of learning itself.

Tasha Teaching - Incorporate “project based” and “place

students to take based” learning.
initiative/value This allows students choice on what they are
learning learning- they come up with the essential question
intrinsically, that needs to be answered and then they are more
(Continued) engaged with finding the answer- this promotes
critical thinking, creative and problem solving skills
and they are more engaged learners. When the
learning is taken out of the classroom and into the
community/world, students build on content
knowledge while applying it to their community-
again this makes them more engaged in their
learning and they have a better understanding of
their community as well as developing their
empathy and socio-emotional skills.

Ysabel Competition with - Have students experience more group/team

Other Students activities and assignments, thereby
Upon improving their communication and
Graduation teamwork skills. (The ability to work in a
team will be more important than ever in the
future.)
- Improve students’ technology programming
skills through lessons devoted to technology
usage in the classroom. Doing this often will
help students become more adaptive and
receptive to the ever-changing technological
landscape. Future employers could see the
value in students who are curious and also
eager to adapt to new technology.
- Improve critical thinking, analytical thinking,
reasoning, and problem-solving skills by
giving students more activities which apply
real-world problems and challenges. Have
these activities ask students questions that
will propel them to conduct research,
become more innovative, and come up with
their own original solutions.
- Help students feel more confident in their
skills and abilities by showing them how to
use the latest technology. By learning new
ways to problem-solve and collaborate,
students may feel more prepared and
confident for applications and interviews.
- Give students more opportunities to improve
their leadership skills by giving everyone a
turn to lead a project or class activity.
