Or came it unto
you only? And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in. Then
said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do. And he said unto me, Son of
man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. And they said,
Some [say that thou art] John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the
prophets. So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men
come to Hamath. What [is] mine iniquity? For the LORD your God [is] God of gods, and Lord of
lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: He
doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him
food and raiment. And if any [man] say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them;
and straightway he will send them. For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children
of Israel. [Their] bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on
the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children. And the king of Israel and
Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in [their] robes, and they
sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied
before them. Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will
raise it up. And Pharaoh commanded [his] men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his
wife, and all that he had. And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on
the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. They that tarry long
at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. But there are some of you that believe not. So
they hired thirty and two thousand chariots, and the king of Maachah and his people; who came
and pitched before Medeba. And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the
Gentiles. And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded
him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD’S house. Therefore thus will I do
unto thee, O Israel: [and] because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found
written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for
ever; Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam
against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing. And
Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an
hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see [it]: but why doth my lord the king
delight in this thing? Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the
commandment shall be rewarded. And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the
time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the
issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she [shall be] unclean. And he
straitly charged them, and commanded [them] to tell no man that thing; Saying, The Son of man
must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be
slain, and be raised the third day. Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner
gate, and at the valley gate, and at the turning [of the wall], and fortified them. Now his
elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and
dancing. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account
thereof in the day of judgment. When I looked for good, then evil came [unto me]: and when I
waited for light, there came darkness. And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who
transgressed in the thing accursed. And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How
shall the ark of the LORD come to me? The calamity of Moab [is] near to come, and his affliction
hasteth fast. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:
And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and
followed other gods, of the gods of the people that [were] round about them, and bowed
themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger. And they did all eat, and were filled.
Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew
the king the interpretation. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our
Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, [which is] our hope; Unto Timothy, [my] own son in the faith:
Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. The rich man [is] wise
in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out. 1And Hiram sent to
Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: [and] I will do all
thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir. Stay me with flagons,
comfort me with apples: for I [am] sick of love. And after thee shall arise another kingdom
inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the
righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the
wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall
the righteous be able to live for his [righteousness] in the day that he sinneth. And the sons
of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Mushi. I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them
that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this [man] was born there. Therefore
the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither
shall the mighty deliver himself: Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and [he that is]
swift of foot shall not deliver [himself]: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver
himself. If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of
them die, [both] the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil
from Israel. Why did the knees prevent me? And one of Joab’s men stood by him, and said, He that
favoureth Joab, and he that [is] for David, [let him go] after Joab. Receive him therefore in
the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: Because for the work of Christ he was
nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me. Then she
said, Did I desire a son of my lord? And he brake in pieces the images, and cut down the groves,
and filled their places with the bones of men. And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest
thou unto me? Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. That which
was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have
looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and
we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the
Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that
ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his
Son Jesus Christ. And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called
Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And when they
came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go
not? What advantage then hath the Jew? And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having
received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had
given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. The day [is]
thine, the night also [is] thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun. Now all these things
happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of
the world are come. Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden
bread from the hungry. Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is
forgotten before God? When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and
shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all
the nations that [are] about me; Thou shalt in any wise set [him] king over thee, whom the LORD
thy God shall choose: [one] from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest
not set a stranger over thee, which [is] not thy brother. And every one that heareth these
sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house
upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon
that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. But thou shouldest not have looked on the
day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced
over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken
proudly in the day of distress. Let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren’s heart
faint as well as his heart. And [one] said, [Is] not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the
wife of Uriah the Hittite? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest
thou me? And it came to pass on the morrow, [which was] the second [day] of the month, that
David’s place was empty: and Saul said unto Jonathan his son, Wherefore cometh not the son of
Jesse to meat, neither yesterday, nor to day? The burden of Egypt. And if Christ [be] in you,
the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness. And he
saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.
There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume
you, after that he hath done you good. Draw out also the spear, and stop [the way] against them
that persecute me: say unto my soul, I [am] thy salvation. All the horns of the wicked also will
I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. Judah is gone into captivity
because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she
findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits. And when the Philistine
looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was [but] a youth, and ruddy, and of a
fair countenance. These waited on the king, beside [those] whom the king put in the fenced
cities throughout all Judah. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name [was] Jarha.
They say to their mothers, Where [is] corn and wine? And I will make the rivers dry, and sell
the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein,
by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken [it]. And he took some of his brethren, [even]
five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh. And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul
of the child came into him again, and he revived. Your country [is] desolate, your cities [are]
burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and [it is] desolate, as
overthrown by strangers. Every bed, whereon he lieth that hath the issue, is unclean: and every
thing, whereon he sitteth, shall be unclean. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye
multiplied more than the nations that [are] round about you, [and] have not walked in my
statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the
nations that [are] round about you; Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, [am]
against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations. And
Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him, My lord, hearken unto me: the land [is worth] four
hundred shekels of silver; what [is] that betwixt me and thee? The inhabitants of Zidon and
Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise [men], O Tyrus, [that] were in thee, were thy pilots. And when
Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they
were afraid to come nigh him. And they shall bring all your brethren [for] an offering unto the
LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon
swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an
offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. Ye observe days, and months, and times,
and years. Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest
unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in
all that thou puttest thine hand unto. And he called unto [him] two centurions, saying, Make
ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two
hundred, at the third hour of the night; And provide [them] beasts, that they may set Paul on,
and bring [him] safe unto Felix the governor. The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they
bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave [it for] a wave offering before the
LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’ with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath
commanded. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. And at the season he sent a servant to
the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat
him, and sent [him] away empty. Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those
things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers
are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached
to them. For they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger:
and, lo, they put the branch to their nose. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that
which was lost. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he [is] their help and their shield. That
which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which
is past. Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, [it]
cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out
into the draught, purging all meats? And I will sow them among the people: and they shall
remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. Evil men
understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all [things]. If therefore thou
shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come
upon thee. The isles saw [it], and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and
came. And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I
have given unto the children of Israel. But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that
I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
The firstfruit [also] of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of
thy sheep, shalt thou give him. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. They that
forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them. But Omri wrought
evil in the eyes of the LORD, and did worse than all that [were] before him. And I was very
angry when I heard their cry and these words. And these [are] the goings out of the city on the
north side, four thousand and five hundred measures. Then Paul called one of the centurions unto
[him], and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to
tell him. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings,
and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil;
for our lamps are gone out. For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I
will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof
as a lamp [that] burneth. For the customs of the people [are] vain: for [one] cutteth a tree out
of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. Let not them that are mine
enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: [neither] let them wink with the eye that hate me without a
cause. For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of
youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in
reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am
weak, then am I strong. Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up
by putting [you] in remembrance; Knowing that shortly I must put off [this] my tabernacle, even
as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper
that love thee. And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give
you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. And at that time Hanani the
seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of
Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped
out of thine hand. And for the second side of the tabernacle on the north side [there shall be]
twenty boards: And their forty sockets [of] silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets
under another board. And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the
mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee,
to smite the host of the Philistines. Thou [art] near, O LORD; and all thy commandments [are]
truth. I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living. And Jesus said unto them, Come ye
after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. Neither said they, Where [is] the LORD
that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land
of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land
that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt? But he said, Then bring meal. And one hath
committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in
law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father’s daughter. Then Philip went down

trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of
disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our
flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of
wrath, even as others. And the tables [were] the work of God, and the writing [was] the writing
of God, graven upon the tables. And Absalom met the servants of David. And Hezekiah wept sore.
And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes without
the camp unto a clean place. And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to
Jerusalem. Your remembrances [are] like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay. Many seek the
ruler’s favour; but [every] man’s judgment [cometh] from the LORD. [There is] no wisdom nor
understanding nor counsel against the LORD. The word of the LORD came again to me, saying, Son
of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine
hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and
will cut off man and beast from it: Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it,
they should deliver [but] their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD. The woman

trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And have they delivered Samaria
out of my hand? And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her
increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have
broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served
themselves of them. Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the
LORD, that he might perform his saying, which the LORD spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto
Jeroboam the son of Nebat. I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment [was] as a
robe and a diadem. And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s
house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me. And he said
unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for
they [be] faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian. And these [are]
the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers: Of Judah, the captains of

pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine: Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God [that]
pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling,
[even] the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again: But I will put it
into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go
over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over. And

fathers, and saw corruption: But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. Thy right hand, O
LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. 1Now

do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood. Let your women keep
silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to
