judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine

integrity [that is] in me. They that make a graven image [are] all of them vanity; and their
delectable things shall not profit; and they [are] their own witnesses; they see not, nor know;
that they may be ashamed. These [are the countries] which Moses did distribute for inheritance
in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward. Take [that] thine [is],
and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. And out of them shall proceed
thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not
be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. And the scorners delight in their
scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other
side Jordan! O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies! For
the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear [of it], and shall environ us
round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name? Brethren,
be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. Thus God
hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given [them] to me. Now we command you, brethren,
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that
walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. And after that Hezron
was dead in Calebephratah, then Abiah Hezron’s wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa. The
heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. And the ark
rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me [to be] head of
the heathen: a people [which] I knew not shall serve me. The king’s heart [is] in the hand of
the LORD, [as] the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Yet Michael the
archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring
against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. For John came unto you in the
way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him:
and ye, when ye had seen [it], repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. For who [is]
like me? When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for [their]
destruction, [and] which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you,
and will break your staff of bread: So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they
shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword
upon thee. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given
power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. Therefore, behold, also his blood is required.
This [is] the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in
the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth: To make a difference between the
unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be
eaten. And from the time [that] the daily [sacrifice] shall be taken away, and the abomination
that maketh desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Or when
saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? [And they did so] at the going up to Gur,
which [is] by Ibleam. Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against
this man? And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, [one] of his young men, answered and
said, My lord Moses, forbid them. These only [are my] fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God,
which have been a comfort unto me. And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye
shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp. And there are gathered unto him vain
men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of
Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them. These [are]
the men of Rechah. Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. God is known in her
palaces for a refuge. Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.
And, behold, the word of the LORD [came] unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he
that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. While he thus spake, there
came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud. Unto the
upright there ariseth light in the darkness: [he is] gracious, and full of compassion, and
righteous. For all the riches which God hath taken from our father, that [is] ours, and our
children’s: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do. For they are the spirits of
devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world,
to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. And thou shalt make a
candlestick [of] pure gold: [of] beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his
branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. Ye stand this day all of
you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers,
[with] all the men of Israel, Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that [is] in thy
camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water: That thou shouldest enter into
covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this
day: That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and [that] he may be unto thee
a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac,
and to Jacob. And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put
water there, to wash [withal]. And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done,
so shall it be done to him; Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a
blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him [again]. Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I
honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the
house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle
against the children of Benjamin? Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man
that he was Jesus the Christ. And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of
Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob;
look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin: Lest
the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the
land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in
the wilderness. And if ye [be] Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the
promise. Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith
the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a
trespass against me. 1And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying, 1Thou knowest how that David my father
could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on
every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet. She, supposing him to be the
gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him,
and I will take him away. And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow,
and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us
flesh to eat? And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and
the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and
destroy. But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD [is] their
inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their
inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them. In the
mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. And Moses wrote this law, and
delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD,
and unto all the elders of Israel. Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that
is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had
a priest before. Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it [is] an evil
time. For I will cleanse their blood [that] I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. But
Barnabas took him, and brought [him] to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the
Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in
the name of Jesus. For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow,
and from the grievousness of war. And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah
the son of Judah, [was] at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people. Thou shalt not
delay [to offer] the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons
shalt thou give unto me. And Samuel said, When thou [wast] little in thine own sight, [wast]
thou not [made] the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?
And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king’s hand was restored him again, and became as
[it was] before. [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or
peril, or sword? And Joel the son of Zichri [was] their overseer: and Judah the son of Senuah
[was] second over the city. But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them
what things Jesus had done. And the altars that [were] on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz,
which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of
the house of the LORD, did the king beat down, and brake [them] down from thence, and cast the
dust of them into the brook Kidron. Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh
shall find so doing. And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service
of the house of the LORD, And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto
the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build;
[it shall] not [be] a burden upon [your] shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people
Israel, And prepare [yourselves] by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to
the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son. Let us
labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell [in the dust]: thy people is
scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth [them]. Then Asa the king took all Judah; and
they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building;
and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah. Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in
malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. 1And the oracle in the forepart [was] twenty
cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he
overlaid it with pure gold; and [so] covered the altar [which was of] cedar. Then shall they
know that I [am] the LORD, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their
abominations which they have committed. And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them
wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way. If any man
serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve
me, him will [my] Father honour. Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the
strangers spoil his labour. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the
commandment of God by your tradition? A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold
the humble in spirit. The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which
was sick, neither have ye bound up [that which was] broken, neither have ye brought again that
which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with
cruelty have ye ruled them. And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD:
and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken. And Aaron and his sons shall eat the
flesh of the ram, and the bread that [is] in the basket, [by] the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation. Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. Forasmuch as many have taken in
hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among
us, Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and
ministers of the word; It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things
from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest
know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed. For if any man see thee
which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is
weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; And through thy knowledge
shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? Having therefore, brethren, boldness to
enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated
for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And [having] an high priest over the house
of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts
sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. And Simeon blessed
them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this [child] is set for the fall and rising again
of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (Yea, a sword shall pierce
through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. And he did [that
which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done. And the
right shoulder shall ye give unto the priest [for] an heave offering of the sacrifices of your
peace offerings. They die, even without wisdom. Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine
eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the
living God. But when Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that [were]
with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done, Then they took all
the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters
that [are] in Gibeon. 1And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour,
and threescore measures of meal, 1Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an
hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl. Or, Wherewithal
shall we be clothed? I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, [even unto] the
end. And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of [that] gate, and
he shall go forth by the way thereof. By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft
tongue breaketh the bone. And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy
bosom. For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men
to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Let them not say in their hearts, Ah,
so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up. And they went to another
village. On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I
[am] the LORD. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great
voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And many of the children
of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the
other judge. Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith
the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. Now the God of peace [be]
with you all. Selah. He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in
his dwellings. And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their
officers, saying, Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them
go and gather straw for themselves. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like
a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. So the spirit
lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand
of the LORD was strong upon me. Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their
princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in
possession. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
The children of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty and one. For the nation and kingdom that will
not serve thee shall perish; yea, [those] nations shall be utterly wasted. And thou, child,
shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to
prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give
light to them that sit in darkness and [in] the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way
of peace. The copy of the letter that Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and
Shetharboznai, and his companions the Apharsachites, which [were] on this side the river, sent
unto Darius the king: They sent a letter unto him, wherein was written thus; Unto Darius the
king, all peace. Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles. Arise thou therefore, get thee
to thine own house: [and] when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die. These [are]
the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers. But he that did his
neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us? Now
therefore restore the man [his] wife; for he [is] a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and
thou shalt live: and if thou restore [her] not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and
all that [are] thine. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he [was]
the priest of the most high God. But if thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: [is it]
not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to
Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar? They shall eat the meat offering, and the sin
offering, and the trespass offering; and every dedicated thing in Israel shall be theirs. But
Mordecai bowed not, nor did [him] reverence. And where will ye leave your glory? Depart from me,
ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God. For the stuff they had was sufficient
for all the work to make it, and too much. For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection,
neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both. God is greatly to be feared in the
assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all [them that are] about him. Again, I
considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour.
Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the
name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Ye have seen also the
breaches of the city of David, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the
lower pool. He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment. And it
shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, [that] the heart of the king shall perish, and
the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.
And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? The waters compassed me about, [even] to the
soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. M curse it that
curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning. And when I looked, behold the four
wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the
appearance of the wheels [was] as the colour of a beryl stone. And it came to pass, when the
congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the
tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD
appeared. The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the low country, and of the south of
Judah, and had taken Bethshemesh, and Ajalon, and Gederoth, and Shocho with the villages
thereof, and Timnah with the villages thereof, Gimzo also and the villages thereof: and they
dwelt there. And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom [is]
the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all
the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. And he caused all that were present in
Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand [to it]. Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of
Israel, shall ye send to the war. And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and
opened his eyes. And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto
the elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? So the
people went forth, and brought [them], and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of
his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the
water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim. And withal they learn [to be] idle,
wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies,
speaking things which they ought not. When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent
his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried
with a loud and a bitter cry; And came even before the king’s gate: for none [might] enter into
the king’s gate clothed with sackcloth. When thou dost lend thy brother any thing, thou shalt
not go into his house to fetch his pledge. And the king took off his ring, which he had taken
from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. If a man find a damsel [that is] a virgin, which is not
betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with
her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife;
because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. Who smote great nations, and
slew mighty kings; Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of
Canaan: And gave their land [for] an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people. A wicked
[man] taketh a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment. Now the rest of the acts
of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles
of the kings of Israel? Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones,
wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,
because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it
is. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month,
and a year, for to slay the third part of men. He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with
bread: but he that followeth vain [persons is] void of understanding. And here [is] the mind
which hath wisdom. And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave
[it] unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. I will do these [things] unto thee, because
thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, [and] because thou art polluted with their idols. If
thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. And the children of Israel did evil in the
sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years. They that
dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust. Through
desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh [and] intermeddleth with all wisdom. Now these
[are] thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong
hand. And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: [it is] the food of the offering made by fire
unto the LORD. And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also. All
we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid
on him the iniquity of us all. Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took [some] meat.
And be it indeed [that] I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself. Vow, and pay unto the
LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And when the
children of Israel saw [it], they said one to another, It [is] manna: for they wist not what it
[was]. And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel. For we must all appear
before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body,
according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad. Then the earth shook and trembled;
the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth. And Leah said, A troop cometh:
and she called his name Gad. Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s [son],
which should betray him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to
the poor? A garden inclosed [is] my sister, [my] spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.
Surely at the commandment of the LORD came [this] upon Judah, to remove [them] out of his sight,
for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did; And also for the innocent blood that he
shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon. Ye shall not
therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I [am] the LORD your God. Arise
for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies’ sake. And they covenanted with him for thirty
pieces of silver. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light;
and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. And
it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber.
[Set] the trumpet to thy mouth. Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee,
and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name. And Samuel heard all the words of the
people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD. And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord,
I [am] not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I [am]
slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. Selah. The mountains saw thee, [and] they trembled: the
overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, [and] lifted up his hands on
high. I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments. A foolish woman [is]
clamorous: [she is] simple, and knoweth nothing. And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead
and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret
themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. And Balaam lifted up his eyes,
and he saw Israel abiding [in his tents] according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came
upon him. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy [is] his name. And he
sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land
of Goshen. And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months. My people
hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away
[on] the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their
restingplace. For thus saith the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon
thee. If [it had] not [been] the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; If [it had] not
[been] the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up
quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream
had gone over our soul: Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. Blessed [is] he that
waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. These have power to
shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn
them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. These [are] the
statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in
mount Sinai by the hand of Moses. And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of
hosts [is] the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before
thee. And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. [is he] a vessel
wherein [is] no pleasure? Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb,
or a kid. Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, [whether it be] of fowl or of beast, in any
of your dwellings. But it came to pass, [that] when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and
the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, [and] that
the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth, And conspired all of them together
to come [and] to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it. And the priest shall take the lamb
of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them [for] a wave
offering before the LORD: And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest
shall take [some] of the blood of the trespass offering, and put [it] upon the tip of the right
ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe
of his right foot: And the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm of his own left hand: And
the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger [some] of the oil that [is] in his left hand
seven times before the LORD: And the priest shall put of the oil that [is] in his hand upon the
tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and
upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering: And
