Schools are no longer necessary because children can get so much information
available through the internet, and they can study just as well as home. to what extent do
you agree or disagree? ( 7.5)

It is widely acknowledged that schools are no longer crucial as offspring are able to learn
through the huge amount of information on the internet, they can learn at homeschooling.
From my perspective, while learning through the Internet can be advantageous, the benefits of
schools should be taken into consideration.

On the one hand, there are several merits of gaining plenty of information through the
internet, the most significant of which are gathering updated information and productively
preparing assignments. With regard to the former, children can gain a great deal of knowledge
from a thousand websites. For example, DOGO News can research the kind of topics they
want, besides, this is an appropriate age site for children. In terms of the latter, there are
various reliable sources of preparing homework effectively that children can approach. For
instance, Duolingo is a useful application where children can do homework and prepare
assignments very quickly.

On the other hand, learning at school would be beneficial for reasons, linked to having been
guided and enhancing communication skills. When it comes to the first idea, not everything
online is carefully filtered and corrected. For example, many online newspapers are falsely
written, but without a lack of teachers’ guidance, the immature brains of young children
would be unaware of the wrong information. As far as the second point is concerned,
communication skills play a pivotal role in children’s futures. Therefore, if children only
knew how to socialize through Internet-based applications such as Skype or Messenger at
home, they would slowly begin to isolate themselves from reality.

In conclusion, I am inclined to believe that despite the positive effects of searching for
information on the Internet and studying at homeschooling the advantages of studying at
school should not be underestimated.

2. Technology can bring many benefits. But it can also cause social and environmental
problems. To what extend do you agree or disagree this statement ? ( 7.5)
It is widely acknowledged that technological development can bring myriad advantages to
people's lives. However, the stem from climate change and social issues could be from cutting-
edge technology. From my perspective, while social platforms can be disadvantageous, the
drawbacks of environmental issues should be taken into consideration.

On the one hand, there are several demerits of the social system, the most significant of which
are the youth's lack of interest in studying and causing health problems. With regard to the
former, with technological development, the young generation tends to use applications to solve
assignments. For example, juveniles solve math or any kind of homework through applications
without thinking, which makes them tend to technological abuse. In terms of the latter, there are
different kinds of diseases found in people caused by the extensive use of technology. For
instance, the young generation uses a mobile phone as a matter of course, which damages their
eyesight a lot, along with other diseases.

On the other hand, environmental problems would be disadvantageous for reasons, associated
with air pollution and noise pollution. When it comes to the first idea, factories and vehicles
create a lot of dangerous gases that release the amount of C02 into the environment. For
example, HCM City has the largest vehicle emissions of CO2 per year, making the oxygen in the
environment more and more alarming. As far as the second point is concerned, there are plenty
of technological machines that create sound pollution. For instance, Ha Noi where is considered
a concrete jungle city, with many heavy machines and works. Therefore, the inhabitant suffers
from many problems, such as sleep disruption, lost productivity, etc.

In conclusion, I am inclined to believe that despite the negative implications that social systems
can exert, the disadvantages of environmental issues should not be underestimated.

Some people prefer to work for a big company instead of a small, family-run,business. What
are the advantages and disadvantages ? ( 7.0)

It is widely acknowledged that job seekers tend to apply to prestigious companies instead of
working for unknown facilities or family-run ones. From my perspective, while laboring for
huge industries as opposed to small-scale companies can be beneficial, the drawbacks of this
should be taken into consideration.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why working for a vast business can be beneficial, the
most significant of which are to improve qualifications and experience learning from the best.
With regard to the former, a huge company will enhance the level of staff to increase work
productivity. For example, they will invest in a lot of training courses about professional skills
for employees. And these courses will help staff expand their horizons at work. When it comes to
the latter, a large company typically attracts a pool of contingent employees' talent. For instance,
working with excellent people results in having the opportunity to gain plenty of knowledge
about different areas.

Contrarily, laboring in a large industry can have some demerits associated with bureaucracy and
stiff competition. When it comes to the first idea, the upper echelon works irresponsibly and
bullies staff. For instance, they use their power to force employees to work with high intensity.
As far as the second point is concerned, the huge business is the place where staff are ready to
combat for their promotion position with the pressures of high work. For example, It’s not
uncommon to witness staff who are willing to do mountain projects to fulfill the assigned
responsibilities by their superiors.

In conclusion, I am inclined to believe that despite the positive effects that working for a large
company can exert, the negative implications should not be underestimated.

There has been the increasing use of chemicals in food production and preservation. Do
dangers outweigh advantages ? ( 7.0)

It is widely acknowledged that most of the foods in markets and groceries that are hugely
purchased have chemicals as these make products improve as well as can stay for a longer
period. From my perspective. I extremely believe that the dangers of packed meals are greater
than the advantages for some reasons.

On the one hand, there are several merits of using chemicals in food production and preservation,
linked to making food look impressive and long-term storage. With regard to the former, those
chemicals are added to make products look catchy. For instance, rainbow candy uses vibrant
coloring to attract kids to purchase it when they first see it. When it comes to the latter, most of
the food production is added chemicals with the aim of dragging on the time and the scent of
food. For example, the instant noodle cup is the best invention because the taste does not change
no matter how long the noodles are.
On the other hand, those harmful substances contain several drawbacks, the most significant of
which are that they cause health problems and less nutrition. In terms of the first idea, the
chemicals added to the food either during its manufacture or conservation lead to considerably
serious diseases. For example, cancer and diabetes are considered the main health problems that
are currently faced by our society, as they are mainly due to many people's reactions to food
additives. As far as the second point is concerned, chemical food results in losing its nutritional
value as compared to freshly grown produce. For instance, canned food is sold in convenience
stores which does not contain a high value of nutrition for consumers.

In conclusion, I am inclined to believe that despite the positive effects using chemicals in food
production and preservation can exert, the harmful implications should not be underestimated.

3. Traffic congestion has become one of the major issues in cities. What are the problems
people face due to traffic? Discuss the possible solutions of overcoming it. ( 8.0)

It is widely acknowledged that big cities are overpopulated, and traffic jams have been a
significant issue among urban residents. In this essay, I will elaborate on these problems.
Then propose a number of feasible methods to be adopted.

There are myriad problems that the major cities can deal with their life, the most
significant of which are wasted precious time and health problems. With regard to the
former, many human beings spend a lot of time waiting in heavy congestion when they
go to work per d3ay. For example, many workers wake up early to avoid the
phenomenon of traffic congestion Instead of spending more time on other tasks. When it
comes to the latter, vehicle emissions are one of the serious issues from which dwellers
have been suffering. For instance, tons of CO2 are released by vehicles per year, leading
to many residents' deaths from lung illness.

Practical measures should be taken into consideration to alleviate these conditions

associated with encouraging the use of public transportation and enhancing awareness
among individuals. In terms of the first point, if there is comfortable and cheap public
transportation, that could be the easiest way to solve this problem. For instance, buses are
the most convenient vehicle that helps a city has a friendly environment on its roads and
streets during rush hour. As far as the second idea is concerned, residents should have the
responsibility for protecting their health before they go out. A good example of this
situation is wearing a face mask because it can prevent gas emissions coming from other
traffic in major cities, which decreases the huge causes of lung illnesses.

In conclusion, there are good grounds for the fact that inhabitants are facing a wide range
of problems in big cities, but the aforementioned solutions can mitigate the phenomenon.

4. It is said that people’s life now is becoming more and more stressful. What do you think
are the cause of this? What solutions can you suggest? ( 6.5 )

It is widely acknowledged that stress in people’s life is becoming more widespread among many
people these days. In this essay, I will elaborate on these problems, and propose a number of
feasible methods to be adopted.

There are myriad different causes that human beings can deal with current issues, the most
significant of which are the volume of work and the enhancement of living. With regard to the
former, the working environment is becoming more competitive, and people tend to spend longer
hours at work to finish all the tasks. For example, the staff can spend more than 10 hours per day
at the company to accomplish all the deadlines. When it comes to the latter, people are willing to
work as much as possible to earn money to pay for their lives. For instance, an employee is not
only working as a salesperson but is seeking other jobs to earn more an amount of money.

Practical measures should be taken into consideration to alleviate the condition, linked to
spending time relaxing and the government's prevention. In terms of the first idea, despite being
busy, people should spend more time relaxing their bodies and minds. For example, sometimes
people need to enjoy a wonderful life such as listening to music, going for walks, and watching
comedy to comfort their brains. As far as the second point is concerned, authorities need to
control the pricing market in the whole country. For instance, the government should prevent an
increase in inflation in order to improve the cost of living for society.

In conclusion, there are good grounds for the fact that people face up to the negative emotions of
stress, but the aforementioned approaches can mitigate the phenomenon.
