Dear Mr. Ning Qi, Mr Xiao Lin and Metro team,

I hope I find you well, in response to the previous email, I would like to discuss with you
the regulations we found on the recommended lighting levels for the work to be carried
out in the production areas of Ubeam, Modified Pedestals, Boxbeam and the storage areas
of Storage.

Lighting levels in Colombia RETILAP:

It does not specify specific production plants and structural assemblies, which allows us
as designers to choose from the international standard levels that can be considered
optimal for the work to be performed in each area.

Guided by the required levels of Table 440.1 of RETILAP for the storage and warehouse
areas of conventional building materials, they present these values:

However, the work that will be carried out in the Storage area will be in areas without roofs,
where the work is carried out outdoors, which is why the local RETILAP standard again does
not apply.

Below, some values of international regulations on the work required will be presented:
Lighting levels Spanish regulations:

As is well known, the lighting regulations in Colombia are governed mainly by the levels of
the Spanish UNE regulations, for this reason we present the values indicated in this
standard.

In general, for different Industry applications, the following thresholds are established:

• Coarse industries, production area: 200 to 600 lux

• Warehouses and warehouses: between 50 and 400 lux.

However, the UNE-12464.1 standard does establish specific levels for the Cement,
Concrete and Brick Industry

Specifically, we find the Formwork that requires the following levels:

• Minimum 200 Lux

• Medium 300 Lux
• Maximum 500 Lux

For this reason, we could not, from the lighting design area, reduce the lighting values
below 200 Lux; on the other hand, the ideal is to present lighting that meets levels of 200
Lux and uniformity of 50% or greater for the areas. of production covered.

The design presented to you currently meets these requirements.

In the case of Boxbeam and modified Pedestals, production areas whose work is carried out
outdoors without a roof, it is allowed to reduce the lighting levels based on the fact that the
work in production areas will be daytime and that the lighting will serve as a safety
mechanism when the day approaches the afternoon hours where natural lighting decreases.

In these areas we will guarantee lighting of 100 Lux and 50% uniformity, guaranteeing
the safety of staff. The design presented to you met an average of 200 Luxes will be updated.

Finally, for the Storage area, it will be classified as an area intended for storage;
additionally, work is done outdoors, without a roof, which is why for these areas we will
guarantee perimeter lighting of 50 Lux and uniformity of 40%.
In general, for internal vehicular circulation routes, lighting of 0.6 Cd/m2 will be
guaranteed, and uniformity of 40%, for pedestrian paths adjacent to these internal
streets, pedestrian lighting of 5 Lux is designed, and uniformity of 33%, guaranteeing
with this the safety of looking vehicles in circulation in these internal areas of the yard.

Estimados Mr. Ning Qi, Mr Xiao Lin y equipo Metro,

Espero encontrarlos bien, en respuesta al correo anterior, quisiera discutir con ustedes la
normatividad que encontramos sobre los niveles recomendados de iluminación para los
trabajos que se realizarán en las áreas de producción de Ubeam, Pedestales modificados,
Boxbeam y las áreas de almacenamiento de Storage.

Niveles de iluminación en Colombia RETILAP:

No especifica para plantas de producción y ensambles de estructuras en concreto, lo cual

nos permite como diseñadores escoger desde la norma internacional niveles que se puedan
sustentar como óptimos para el trabajo a desempeñarse en cada área.

Guiados por los niveles requeridos de la Tabla 440.1 del RETILAP para las áreas de
almacenamiento y bodega de materiales de edificaciones convencionales nos presentan
estos valores:

Sin embargo, los trabajos que se realizarán en el área de Storage serán en zonas sin techo,
donde los trabajos se realizan al aire libre, razón por la cual nuevamente no aplica la norma
local RETILAP.
A continuación, se presentarán algunos valores de la normatividad internacional sobre los
trabajos requeridos:

Niveles de iluminación Normatividad España:

Como bien es sabido la normatividad de iluminación en Colombia se rige principalmente

por los niveles de la normatividad UNE española, por esta razón les presentamos lo valores
indicados en esta norma.

En general para diferentes aplicaciones de Industria se establecen los siguientes umbrales:

• Industrias bastas, área de producción: de 200 a 600 lux

• Depósitos y almacenes: entre 50 y 400 lux.

Sin embargo, la norma UNE-12464.1 sí establece niveles específicos para Industria de

Cemento, Hormigón y Ladrillo:

Específicamente nos encontramos con el Encofrado que pide los siguientes niveles:

• Mínimo 200 Lux

• Medio 300 Lux
• Máximo 500 Lux

Por esta razón no podríamos desde el área de diseño de iluminación disminuir los valores
de iluminación por debajo de los 200 Lux, en contraparte, lo ideal es presentar una
iluminación que cumpla con niveles de 200 Lux y uniformidad de 50% o mayor para
las áreas de producción cubiertas.

El diseño presentado a ustedes cumple actualmente con estos requerimientos.

Para el caso de Boxbeam y Pedestales modificados, áreas de producción cuyos trabajos se

realizan al aire libre sin techo, se permite disminuir los niveles de iluminación basándonos
en que los trabajos de zonas de producción serán diurnos y que la iluminación servirá como
mecanismo de seguridad cuando la jornada se acerca a las horas de la tarde donde la
iluminación natural disminuye.

En estas zonas garantizaremos iluminación de 100 Lux y uniformidad de 50%,

garantizando la seguridad del personal. El diseño presentado a ustedes cumplía con una
media de 200 Luxes se actualizará.
Finalmente, para el área de Storage, se clasificará como una zona destinada a
almacenamiento, adicionalmente se trabaja al aire libre, sin techo, razón por la que para
estas zonas garantizaremos iluminación perimetral de 50 Lux y uniformidad de 40%.

En general para las vías internas de circulación vehicular se garantizarán iluminación

peatonal de 0,6 Cd/m2, y uniformidad de 40%, para senderos peatonales adyacentes a
estas calles internas se diseña iluminación peatonal de 5 Lux, y uniformidad de 33%,
garantizando con esto la seguridad de los vehículos en circulación de estas áreas internas
del patio.
