ASSET INTEGRITY & RELIABILITY

Primary purpose of job


Responsible for initiation of the inspection, monitoring programs for cathodic protection and
corrosion monitoring activities. Manage resources required for implementing corrosion
protection programs and ensure that general targets are met.

Review Cathodic Protection & corrosion monitoring surveys inspection findings and
recommend remedial action. Direct and supervise site corrosion personnel and provide
technical assistance to asset holder & other concerned QatarEnergy departments on cathodic
protection and monitoring related cases.

Experience & Skills


Minimum (10) ten years of experience in corrosion monitoring and protection fields in oil and
gas industry
Experienced in different CP systems design, monitoring and troubleshooting.
Considerable experience in corrosion inhibition, corrosion monitoring methodologies
Knowledge of CP & corrosion monitoring international Standards/ Specification.
Practical application of expertise complemented by a sound education in metallurgy (or related
subject) with a strong bias and in-depth knowledge of corrosion
Five years’ experience offshore preferred

Education
BSc or equivalent degree in Corrosion science or Chemical or Mechanical, Engineering)
Postgraduate studies in corrosion related fields would be an advantage.
Quality Assurance, computer literate and fluent in English.
Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable
