PAVER™ Activation Process

PAVER V7.x can be installed on the same computer alongside of PAVER v6.x. If you are updating from a
previous version of PAVER 7 us must first uninstall the last version.

You should have two install packages (PAVER 7.x setup.exe and PAVER WCF 7.x setup.exe). The
PAVER 7.x setup.exe should be used to install on a standalone machine or a client machine. The PAVER
WCF 7.x setup.exe will install a complete PAVER 64-bit version as well as a Windows service onto the
computer that you want to host the PAVER data. This is the service install, for guidance in installing this
version please refer to the Paver 7.x service install.pdf included with the install package.

To install the standalone PAVER 7.x, double click on the setup.exe file contained on the software CD (the
installation itself doesn't require registration). After the installation is complete, click on the PAVER™ 7
icon to register the program with the Serial Number written on the back of the installation CD cover.
Registration can be completed using Automated Web Activation, Manual Web Activation, Email Activation
(an email application such as Outlook must be used with this option), or by Phone Activation. If
registering by manual web, email, or phone, an Activation Code will be provided. PAVER™ is activated
on that computer after the code is entered.

Please view/ print the PAVER User Guide provided with the program for further assistance.

Note: one can import a database created from V6 into V7, but an .e70 can’t be imported in V6.

Purchasing PAVER 7 entitles the user to two installs per serial number. Each install can be
removed once and reinstalled on a different computer. Deactivation can only be done from the
PAVER program on the machine you are removing it from before uninstalling the PAVER program.
If using the service install each serial number entitles the user two seats for concurrent log in. If
using the service install do not activate the software on the client machine, use the remote connection to
access the machine the service was installed on. See the service install.pdf for more information. If you
wish to move from one computer and install on another, you MUST deactivate the software first. See
page 6 of the User Guide.
