INTRODUCTION:

The education system of Ukraine is organized into five levels: pre-school, primary,

secondary, upper secondary and postgraduate education. In 2010, 56% of children between

one and six years of age had the opportunity to attend pre-primary education. According to

UNESCO figures, six and a half million students between the ages of three and 17 and one

and a half million young people enrolled in higher education institutions have been

removed from education since the beginning of the conflict.

EDUCATION OF UKRAINE

The education system of Ukraine consists of three levels: primary, secondary and

higher education. Education is compulsory and free in primary and secondary schools, but

higher education often involves additional tuition and costs.

Primary education in Ukraine lasts 4 years, followed by 5 years of basic secondary

education and 2 years of upper secondary education. Students can then choose to continue
their education at institutions of higher education, such as universities and technical

colleges.

Universities in Ukraine offer a wide range of academic programs in various fields,

such as natural sciences, humanities, engineering, medicine, and more. The duration of

bachelor's programs is generally 4 years, while master's programs last an additional 1-2

years.

The Ukrainian education system has been constantly evolving since the country's

independence in 1991. Ukraine has sought to align its education system with international

standards and encourage participation in exchange programs and academic collaboration.

The language of instruction in educational institutions may vary. Although

Ukrainian is the official language of the country, many universities also offer programs in

Russian and other languages. However, there have been debates and changes in language

policies over the years, which has influenced the education system.

Importantly, education in Ukraine has been influenced by its history and

geographical location, which has led to a diversity of approaches and challenges in the

education system. Investment in research and development has also been an area of focus,

especially in scientific and technological disciplines.

In summary, Ukraine's education system ranges from primary education to higher

education, with a focus on the diversity of academic programs. As the country has pursued

global integration, there have been efforts to align its education system with international

standards and promote research and development in various disciplines.
