ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON REGIONAL LEARNING CAMP 2023

I- Introduction

Sta. Teresa Elementary School participated the Regional Learning Camp 2023, from July 24

to August 11, 2023. The activity was mandated by the Department of Education pursuant to the

DepEd Memorandum no. 014, s. 2023. Hence, the highlights of this activity do not focus merely

on the students who cannot read well as well as also on the chances given for the students to

prepare themselves for the next school year. The implementation fifteen days summer learning

activity will be conducted by school level to improve the reading, mathematics, science and

technology and similar initiatives which aim to sustain learning recovery. The objectives are to

improve learner outcomes and to strengthen teacher competence so they can teach better

through learning action cell. Strategies employed shall bring fun excitement and enjoyment which

enhance learners reading and lifelong skills.

Prior to this activity, the staff together with the stakeholders conducted some said daily plan

activity in coordination with the school principal, Ms. Marites B. Barrientos, to facilitate the said

event. The school principal takes the lead role in planning activities to promote a safe school

environment and ensuring the participation of teachers, parents, students, and other concerned

stakeholders in this undertaking. Form the plan activity teachers and the community also

encourages student to attend for the said camp in preparation for the opening of the school year -

believing that every child is a reader. Matrix for summer reading camp is provided ensuring that

everything will have a variation of activities for the learners. On the first day of the activity, April 11,

2016 a caravan was establish with concern participation of everybody who is involved and with the

of schools drum and lyre core. Then School Reading Coordinators and Teachers then conduct

reading adventures in the opening program after the parade. Furthermore, the concerns are

encouraged to use story books available in the reading hub, resource books and NAT reviewer for

incoming Grade 11 learners. To make used of the days for the activity wisely, the activities were

done:

Monday for Science; Read and tell, Who Am I?, Pass the Stone, Bingo and Pick and Tell


Tuesday for Mathematics; Treasure

Hunting, ‘Simon Says’, Message Relay, ‘Pabitin’

, and Addition using counters

Wednesday for Filipino; Read and Show, Anagram, Showtime, Bugtong- butongan, and Sabayang

Pagbasa

Thursday for Makabayan; Charade, Paint Me a Picture, MTV, Camera Roll and Dramatization

Friday is Presentation of the Best Output

a Campsite performance The students have plenty of activities and meaningful games that make

them interested to participate it compose of five learning areas under the implementation of the

Department of Education. They not just learn the on the week activity but they also enjoy their

learnings. This Summer Reading Camp is very special program. What makes it special? It is special

because it gives chances to a non

readers and slow readers to extend their learning through learning. There were more than or less 15

students involved all coming from the junior high school.
