Final - UN Proposal
Objectives:
To participate in the global celebration of unity, justice, freedom, and equality.
To appreciate the culture, tradition, and customs of other countries.
To develop the creativity and artistic talents of the students by creating their national
costumes, coloring, and making posters.
To develop the love and care for the environment by using recyclable materials in
creating their costumes such as newspapers and magazines.
To enhance the speaking and writing skills of the students through declamation and essay
writing.
To bring out the capabilities and confidence of the students.
To appreciate our own culture and tradition and establish the love for our own country.
Main Event
Mr. and Ms. United Nations (Category A to D)
Every grade level will represent a certain country.
Countries to be represented will be done by draw lots.
The contest will be by category.
Every grade level will choose 2 representatives per grade level: 1 male and 1 female.
They will create their national costumes made of newpapers or magazines.
The students will showcase their creativity, beauty and brain on culmination day, October
31, 2023.
Pre-kinder to Intermediate Level
Advisers can ask help from 2 parents in making their costumes and prepare it ahead of
time. Judging will be by pair.
Criteria for Creative Attire
Cultural Relevance: 30%
Creativity: 25%
Suitability to the Wearer: 20%
Beauty and Appeal: 15%
Stage Presence: 10%
Total: 100%
Grade 7 & Senior High to Grade 10
They will create their costumes on the spot. Every grade level is given 2 hours to
create their costumes.
Criteria for Creative Attire Question and Answer
Cultural Relevance: 25% Correctness of answer: 20%

CATEGORY A
Event: Coloring Contest
1 representative per grade level.
The student will be given a blank template.
He/She needs to follow the color of the given drawing.
The student is given 1 hour to finish the task.
Criteria for Judging
Harmony of Colors: 50%
Neatness: 50%
Total: 100%
CATEGORY B
Event: Poster Making Contest
Theme: “Equality, Freedom, and Justice for All”
3 representatives per grade level.
The students will create a poster relevance to the theme.
They will provide their own materials such as: 1/2 illustration board, oil pastel, pencils or
marker, cotton or tissue.
The students will submit their entry on or before October 27, 2023
CATEGORY C
Event: Declamation
Theme: Freedom
1 representative per grade level.
Participants shall be provided a copy of a declamation piece.
The piece should be memorized. Notes and cue cards are not allowed during the contest.
Criteria for Judging
Gestures and Facial Expressions: 30%
Mastery: 25%
Diction and Enunciation: 20%
Clarity of Voice: 15%
Audience Impact: 10%
