Worksheet in Prof Ed 9-A

Implementing the Curriculum

A. Observe class where the teacher is actually teaching. (Watch the video in this link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zG0Qmgeyh1E )
B. Describe what the teacher is doing for at least the whole period.
C. Write down your observation based on the following questions.

1. What were the different learners activities?

 The teacher has a group activity for the learner’s application of the lesson content or discussion.
 He also let the learners apply their knowledge through an individual activity. This activity was done during
the evaluation part of the demonstration teaching.
 To expand their knowledge, the teacher gave them a worksheet for their assignment to enhance what
they had learned during the discussion.

2. What did the teacher do, to make the learners engage in the activities.

 The teacher effectively connects with his students by asking questions and then allowing the students to
respond individually. This type of behavior occurred throughout the conversation or activity, which is the
recitation. Aside from recitation, he constantly reminds students of classroom norms and the need of
staying organized, especially during group exercises.

3. Were majority of the children actively participating? Why?

 Since the teacher is active and effectively using the “recitation’ method during discussions and activities, I
can conclude that they are actively participating.

4. Did the teacher control most of the activities?

 I don’t think so since he lets the learners recite or answer specific questions, and aside from recitation, he
has different activities for each part of the demonstration.

5. Did the learners and the teacher together achieve the desired learning outcomes? Explain

 Yes, since they have an interactive discussion as well as activities that are common yet valuable as an
application of what they have learned as a sample of a real-life task. The desired learning outcome was
evident as the contents were discussed properly with appropriate examples, activities such group activity
and worksheets to supplement or enhance learning.
