PM SHRI KV DGQA,

CHENNAI
REPORT – TRIP TO ISRO,
SRIHARIKOTA
We, the students of class IX A,
IX B went to SDSC SHAR on 30
January 2024.
The trip commenced at 5:30
AM from our school. We, along
with our teachers reached SDSC
SHAR at 9 AM. Upon arrival, we
energized ourselves with the
hearty breakfast. We
underwent stringent security
check lasting approximately 2
hours at 2 different gates
ensuring the safety and
integrity of the premises.
Subsequently, we were taken to
Launch Pad 2 where we
witnessed the historic site of
various satellite launches such
as Chandrayaan 1, 2, 3 and
Aditya L1. We also visited
Launch Pad 1 which holds
historical significance as it has
been operational since 1993.
The guide provided insightful
explanations enhancing the
student’s understanding.
The trip proceeded to MCC
[Mission Control Centre] where
we were mesmerized by videos
showcasing the extraordinary
location of Srihari Kota,
countdown sequences, detailed
seating arrangements during
satellite launches particularly
highlighting the launches of
Chandrayaan 3, Aditya L1 and
the future projects of ISRO.
We enjoyed a lunch break at
Aryabhata Canteen providing
students with an opportunity to
refuel.
The trip concluded with a visit
to the museum where we
encountered detailed models of
the prominent launch vehicles
such as PSLV and GSLV,
alongside comprehensive
information about introduction
of rockets, Aditya L1 and other
satellites. Group pictures were
taken capturing memories of
this educational journey.
The educational trip to Satish
Dhawan Space Centre SHAR
provided us with a deeper
appreciation for the dedication
and hard work of scientists
involved in each satellite
launch. This memorable
experience served as a
reminder of India’s remarkable
achievements in space science,
inspiring students to pursue
knowledge and curiosity in this
field.
The return journey commenced
at 4 PM with the group arriving
back at the school by 8 PM.
Our heartfelt thanks to our
Respected Principal mam, Vice
Principal mam, Organizers of
the Exposure visit Committee
and the escort teachers.
