Recording Purchase on Credit

Pass the following entry into M/s Saraswati Trading Company that you have
already created in Tally ERP 9.

Purchase 10000 Rs/- Goods from Sumit Steel Works on Credit on 1-3-2020.

Solution: -

Step 1: Create the ledger as Purchase A/c and select group as Purchase Account &
Create another ledger as Sumit Steel Works and select group as Sundry
Creditors.

Step 2: Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounting Vouchers > Select F9: Purchase

Step 3: Enter the data 1-3-2020

Step 4: Debit Purchase A/c with 10000

Step 5: Credit Sumit Steel Works with 10000

Step 6: Enter the narration

Step 7: Accept the transaction by pressing “Y”.
