Good neighbours are worth their weight in gold

Imagine you come home, exhausted from work, with even more chores to do at
home and not getting a moment of peace, but then you hear the doorbell ringing. It
was your neighbour, who was happy to welcome you to the area and gave you a
freshly-baked apple pie. They didn’t have to do such a thing, but they did, to
harbour a good relationship with you and help you get accustomed to the new
people around there.
This is what makes a good neighbour, hospitality, helping each other in need and
last but not least, being friendly. Getting to know a new group of people you can
chat with, that are around the same age group as you can be a much-needed
experience for most people. Especially when you are in a foreign country and don’t
have any acquaintances there, a friendly neighbour can truly soothe your heart.
Not only that but having a great neighbour also means having a great friend.
Because the distance between your homes isn’t that big, you can always drop by
have a drink, play some games together, and laugh. Of course, this also implies
cheering them up when they’re sad feeling down, or feeling under the weather.
This is why it's important to have a neighbour or someone similar in your life.
