C. Lesson Proper
A cause is the reason why something happens. It is the produces of the effect. An
effect, on the other hand, is the result of the cause. It is produced by the cause.
When we speak about the sequence by which these two takes place, the cause
always happens first while the effect happens next. However, when they are written as
parts of sentences, the order by which they appear may not be according to what
happened first or next as shown in the examples below.
A heavy rain lasted for two hours, so the streets were flooded.
(cause) (effect)
The streets were flooded because the heavy rain lasted for two hours.
(effect) (cause)
In order to identify the relationship properly, ask what happens first and what happens
next.
Once you master identifying the cause -and-effect relationship, you can already begin
writing cause -and-effect relationships in sentences and paragraphs.

Headaches
Headaches can have several causes. One obvious cause is stress. People have
hectic lives and frequently have multiple stressors everyday, like work, family and money.
Another reason for headaches in some people has to do with diet. Some get headaches
because they are dependent on caffeine. Other people may be allergic to salt, or they may
have low blood sugar. The environment can also cause this uncomfortable condition.
Allergens such as household chemicals including polishes, waxes, bug killers, and paint
