m > 2 One way slab

Most of the load is bening carried in the short direction. Thus, the principle
reinforcement is placed parallel to the short direction. The distribution
reinforcement is used in the direction perpendiculer to principle reinfocement.

SPECIAL CASE (TS500)

If the following conditions are satisfied then moment coefficients given by TS500
can be used.

lmin = min (ls1; ls2; ls3; ls4) and lmax = max (ls1; ls2; ls3; ls4)

lmin q
If ≥ 0.8 and <2 then moment coefficients can be used.

SECTION DESIGN

ll 15mm
Reinforcement determined using the design moment (principle reinforcement):
Reinforcement is determined for the middle strip of the shorter direction. The strip width is 1 m and
its thickness is equal to the slab thickness.

hf
15mm

The support reinforcement over the longer side beams: Reinforcement is determined for the
support section using the negative moment. The strip width is 1 m and its thickness is equal to
the slab thickness.

hf

Distribution reinforcement: 1/5 of principle reinforcement

The support reinforcement over the shorter side beams : %60 of principle reinforcement.
