Abstract
Affectivejobdisruptionisoneofthemostcommonproblemsofinformalemployeesin
theLaoPeople'sDemocraticRepublic(LaoPDR).However,whetheraffectivejobdis-
ruptioncorrelatedwithjobinsecurity,joblossandunemploymenthasnotbeenstudied.
Thepurposeofthisstudywastoexaminetheeffectofprecariousemployment,division
ofwork,inter-roleconflictanddeviantbehavioronaffectivejobdisruptionofinformal
employees.Thequestionnairesweredistributedto1500informalemployeesinVientiane,
intheLaoPDRfortheperiod2018-2019.Astructuralequationmodelingwasusedtotest
thehypotheses,whichperformsusingSTATAstatisticalsoftwareprogram.Thehypoth-
esizedmodelshowedthatprecariousemployment,divisionofwork,inter-roleconflictand
deviantbehaviorarecorrelatedwithaffectivejobdisruption.Thisstudysuggestedthataf-
fectivejobdisruptionhasimportantimplicationsforinformalemployeeswhenexperience
overalong-termperiod.Theoreticalandpracticalimplicationsarediscussed.
