NOTE: The fan stator vane assembly may be reworked with the engine re-
moved or on the wing.
(1) Disassemble engine as required to gain access to the fan stator vane assembly in
accordance with the Engine Light Maintenance Manual.
(2) Remove the retaining band from the fan stator vane assembly in accordance with the
Engine Light Maintenance Manual.
(3) Determine part number of the fan stator vanes installed. (See Figure 1.)
(4) Locate and remove all Fan Stator Vanes, Part Number 3060254-1, (no more than 3
consecutive fan stator vanes in one grouped area are to be removed at one time) and
install replacement Fan Stator Vanes, Part Number 3060379-1, in accordance with the
steps in Paragraph 3.C.
(5) Complete reassembly of the fan stator assembly in accordance with the Engine Light
Maintenance Manual.
(6) Reidentify the fan stator assembly to Part Number 3060239-4, using vibro-etch method
in accordance with Aerospace Standard AS478 (Method 2D) by lining through the dash
(-3) number and adding a (-4).
(7) Reassemble the engine as required in accordance with the Engine Light Maintenance
Manual.
(8) Check and ensure proper engine operation in accordance with the Aircraft Flight
Manual and/or appropriate aircraft documents.
