COURSE STRUCTURE
The educational rules and study plan of the MSc programmes are available at the following link:
Politecnico di Milano: Programme Catalogue (polimi.it)
European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a standard for comparing the study
attainment and performance of students of higher education across the European Union and other
collaborating European countries. One academic year corresponds to 60 ECTS credits that are normally
equivalent to 1500-1800 hours of total workload, which includes teaching hours, class attendance, classwork,
laboratory work and individual study.
Credits may be obtained also through other activities such as additional training courses, project works, theses,
internships, foreign languages, computing skills, training in communication and public relations and group
work. The ltalian grading scale is out of 30, where 18 is the minimum passing grade and 30 cum laude the
highest grade.
TUITION FESS
The tuition fees for EU students depend on their family income level that will be calculated between January
and March 2024 on the basis of specific documents. Students will be placed in an income bracket accordingly.
The tuition fees for Non-EU students residing abroad correspond automatically to the highest income
bracket (see the table below), unless they are scholarship holders.
The fee amount may vary according to the number of credits included in the study plan. Below, a scheme of
the tuition fees for the academic year 2023/2024 (amount in €).
