Introduction:

Toyota, often known as Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), is a multinational corporation based
in Japan that is one of the biggest automakers in the world, with 7.5 million models sold yearly
across all five continents. It has 70,000 employees as of right now. Similar to several notable
businesses throughout history, Toyota has been molded by a distinct set of ideals and ideas that
date back to the company's early years in Japan.

Toyota's daily operations are fundamentally based on its supply chain strategy and procedures.
Toyota has become a major global automaker by following the Just-In-Time (JIT)
manufacturing philosophy and the Toyota Production System (TPS).

The case describes the globalization tactics used by Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota), one of
the top automakers in the world with headquarters in Japan. It looks at how the corporation
changed from being the top carmaker in Japan to a strong contender in the world auto market
by 2003. It looks at the reasons Toyota chose to concentrate on expanding internationally and
looks at the company's several globalization initiatives, paying particular attention to the
localization initiatives. Along with analyzing the issues the organization was facing in Japan,
the case also covers the solutions adopted. In light of growing competition and demand
saturation in its two main markets, the US and Japan, it concludes by analyzing the outcomes of
Toyota's globalization initiatives and talking about the company's prospects going forward.
