2. Guide line for coating method
1) Surface Preparation
① New Steel : Blast cleaning to Sa 2 or alternatively power tool cleaning to St.,
followed by suitable wash primer for preliminary protection.
② Maintenance : Remove any oil and grease, etc. from surface to be coated
with suitable solvent, hose down with fresh water and allow to
dry. Remove all rust and loose material, preferably by power
tools, brush off all dust and cleaning residues before touching
up bare spots to original film thickness.
2) Application conditions
The surface must be completely clean and dry.
The temperature during application and drying must be 5~35℃ and relative
humidity of below 85%.
The surface temperatures must be at least 3℃(5°F) above dew point to
prevent condensation.
Check for moisture on the painted surface, remove it and apply a subsequent
coat.

3. Coating Process
1) 1st Coating
① Apply at 50㎛, 1 coating by air or airless spray on surface of the steel.
② If necessary, dilute with thinner 012 (Maximum 10% by volume/KSM 6030-1),
thinner 024 (Maximum 10% by volume /EP170).
Dilute with thinner 012 by maximum 10%(volume) into mixed paint.
③ Prepare the even surface without partially thick part.
④ Apply 1 additional coating on the surface where the absorption of initial
coating is severe. (Where reveal the color of steel)

2) 2nd Coating
① Remove any contaminant on the surface after at least 48hours (at 20℃,
RH 65%)) passed from the 1st coating.
② Apply SQ-2700 3~4 times with 3,750㎛ column / 4, 340㎛ for beam of wet film
thickness by using airless spray.
③ Keep the recoating interval of SQ-2700. (Minimum 24 hours)
④ Prior to recoating application, any foreign substance or contamination has
to be removed completely.
⑤ If necessary, dilute with thinner 002, 029K(Summer season), 003(Winter
season) is
recommended. (Maximum 3% of thinning by volume)

Nozzle orifice : 0.027 ~ 0.035¨
Fan : 30 ~ 60°
(Airless spray data is indicative and subject to adjustment)
3) 3rd Coating
① Remove any contaminant on the surface after at least 7days(Winter season)
or 3days(Summer season) passes from the 2nd coating.
② Apply UT6581 / Sensethan / Newcryl firemask topcoat at 50㎛,
1 coating by brush, spray onto SQ-2700.
If necessary, dilute with thinner 037U, 0624(UT6581)/ Maximum 10% by
volume), thinner 029K (Sensethan) , thinner 029K (Summer season),
003(Winter season) (Newcryl firemask topcoat) is recommended.

Nozzle orifice : 0.015 ~ 0.020¨
Output pressure : 2,200 psi / 150atm

4. Cautions
1) Above coating system is recommend only in case of application inside of the
building.
2) SQ-2700 coating has to be performed at more than 5℃ of ambient
temperature and under 85% of relative humidity.
3) The sub steel has to be kept at least 3℃ higher than the dew point to
prevent the condensation.
4) Base and hardener should be mixed completely with high speed dissolver
 (RPM more than 200) around 4~5 minutes prior to coating SQ-2700.
5) SQ-2700 coating must not be exposed to water(rain or snow).(If SQ-2700 is
exposed to water, SQ-2700 coating would be peeled off and melted by
water)
6) In case of outdoor application, be prepare covering material for rain or snow.
