SUMMARY

It is crucial for graduate student at business school to learn about the management processes and
tasks carried out within an organization. Training and employment are the only ways to
successfully gain practical knowledge. One can swiftly get practical experience in their field of
knowledge by taking advice and training from others.

I will be able to have a better grasp of the many marketing strategies brands and companies use
to sell different kind of products on their own. I gained a practical awareness of the market
conditions, consumer expectations, and dealer and sub-dealer expectations.

I am glad that I got an opportunity to go to field visits for marketing purposes to introduce the
company to strangers who are relevant to the field of real estate.

It was a great experience in working with the analysis team of the company. I got a strong
knowledge about the functions of excel and how powerful it is.

It was a good learning experience on how to get a new customer and holding up the already
available customers.

TABLE OF CONTENTS
INRODUCTION AND ORGANIZATIONAL ANALYSIS

Rise up Global Tourism is a Pondicherry based company started in 2018. The company’s goal is
to make the maximum number of real estate sales through agents who work for the company. By
having good number of sales in the past 2 years, it was a very good company to start my
internship career. The company recruits agents who do marketing and sales for this real estate
company. The agents work with full motive for the development of the company. I worked as a
marketing agent in the beginning of my internship. I also worked in the Data analytics team. At
the end of the internship period I Assisted Mr. Ananda Selvam A as he was managing the
company.

REAL ESTATE:

Real estate is defined as the land, and any permanent structures, like a home, or improvements
attached to the land, whether natural or man-made. Real estate is a form of real property. Real
estate development is a process that involves the purchase of raw land, rezoning, construction
and renovation of buildings, and sale or lease of the finished product to end users. Developers
earn a profit by adding value to the land (creating buildings or improvements, rezoning, etc.)

High potential for growth:

With the influx of money, more and more people are likely to purchase homes and increase the
demand for real estate. This means good news for real estate investors, since they can avail of
capital gains tax exemption under Section 54F of the Income Tax Act

MARKETING:

Marketing refers to activities a company undertakes to promote the buying or selling of a product
or service. Marketing includes advertising, selling, and delivering products to consumers or other
businesses. Some marketing is done by affiliates on behalf of a company.

Importance of marketing:

The importance of marketing for your business is that it makes the customers aware of your
products or services, engages them, and helps them make the buying decision. Furthermore, a
marketing plan, a part of your business plan helps in creating and maintaining demand,
relevance, reputation, competition, etc.
DATA ANALYTICS:

Data analytics (DA) is the process of examining data sets in order to find trends and draw
conclusions about the information they contain. Increasingly, data analytics is done with the aid
of specialized systems and software.

Importance of Data Analytics:

Data analytics is important because it helps businesses optimize their performances.

Implementing it into the business model means companies can help reduce costs by identifying
more efficient ways of doing business and by storing large amounts of data.

MANAGEMENT:

In the simplest of terms, business management refers to the coordination and administration of
business activities, tasks, and resources to achieve a set objective. This often involves
supervision and training of staff, overseeing core operations, and designing company
infrastructure to optimize for the future.

Importance of management:

1. Planning: When you think of planning in a management role, think about it as the process of
choosing appropriate goals and actions to pursue and then determining what strategies to use,
what actions to take, and deciding what resources are needed to achieve the goals.

2. Organizing: This process of establishing worker relationships allows workers to work together to
achieve their organizational goals.

3. Leading: This function involves articulating a vision, energizing employees, inspiring and
motivating people using vision, influence, persuasion, and effective communication skills.

4. Staffing: Recruiting and selecting employees for positions within the company (within teams and
departments).

5. Controlling: Evaluate how well you are achieving your goals, improving performance, taking
actions. Put processes in place to help you establish standards, so you can measure, compare, and

INTERNSHIP LEARNING EXPERIENCE

I would like to segregate my internship period into 3 parts.

1) Marketing
2) Data analytics
3) Management

MARKETING:

When I was working with the marketing department of Rise up Global tourism my primary
responsibility was to find agents who would like to sell the real estate property to customers.
Agents who work for Rise up Global Tourism enjoy a very special tourism package depending
on the number of sales they are making in a particular year. They will be awarded different tour
packages to different level of Agents. I had to explain the award the agents will receive when
they reach different levels and make people sign up as agents in Rise up Global Tourism.

SAMPLE DATA:

DATA ANALYTICS:

In the second parts of my internship, I was working with the Data analytics team. The
responsibility I had was to sort out a large number of agents based on their levels which they
were awarded for their sales count. Depending on their levels they will be awarded different tour
packages. After analyzing the levels of agents, I had to call each one and inform them about the
tour package they’re going to receive. Excel was one of the powerful tools I used in this process.

Example: Ram has sold 100 properties. He has obtained gold level and the tour package awarded
to him is Germany.

situation. I learnt speaking skills which is one of the most important skills when it comes to
business studies. I also had an opportunity to participate in the planning committee of the
company in which the board of directors of the company discuss different strategies and plan to
