INTRODUCTION AND PATIENT ADMISSION

One day in the hospital there was a nurse who was going to carry out her duties as a nurse an
d the nurse was going to carry out an IV drip and she was preparing the equipment first, then
after preparing the equipment the nurse stepped into the room of the patient who was going to
be given the procedure.

Nurse : Hello, good morning sir

Patient : Hello good morning too nurse

Nurse : Let me introduce myself, my name is Jian Heryanto, I am a young nurse who is on
duty this morning shift which starts from 08.00 until 14.00 this afternoon. How are you doing
this morning sir? What do you feel?

Patient : I felt my body was weak, I had no appetite to eat, there was constant nausea and vo
miting with little urine output, nurse

Nurse : Oh yes, okay sir, then I will carry out an infusion procedure on you. It seems that yo
u have to be given an IV because your body lacks fluids. The purpose of the infusion itself is
to replace fluids in the body, increase comfort.

Nurse : To carry out this action I need 10 to 15 minutes, do you agree?

Patient : Ok, I agree

The nurse also installed an IV drip on the patient and while carrying out the procedure the nur
se chatted with the patient until the procedure was completed.

Nurse : Sir, I have finished installing the infusion, how do you feel, sir?

Patient : I feel I have improved from before, nurse.

Nurse : It's good if you feel better than before. If so, I will return to the room if you need my
help, please press the button on the back of the bed.

Patient : Oke nurse

Nurse : hope you will be healed and can go home soon, sir, let me leave the room.

Patien : Thank you nurse
