Direction: Write FACT or BLUFF and tell why.


1) Students who truly understand and are involved in learning have accelerated rates of
achievement.

Answer: FACT
Explanation: Students who are connected and made positive engagement
during activities and discussions has the greater chance to retain
information and master skills. As result, these students will yield
positive outcome on/during the assessment.

2) Learner-centered teaching engages students in the hard, messy work of learning.

Answer: BLUFF
Explanation: Learner – centered teaching strategies encourages students to
reflect on their own learning and how they are learning it. In this
case, this strategy will help them to organize their own learning and
make an assessment on what particular style or strategy would
make them more productive and creative.

3) Teaching students to be independent and curious make the class a different learning
environment.

Answer: FACT
Explanation: In fact, being independent and inquisitive places great interest
on the 21st century skills. Remember that most of the scientific
discoveries are based on curiosity. Having a classroom where
being independent and inquisitive are encourage, it is more likely to
students create a meaningful discovery of knowledge.

4) Knowledge is constructed based on personal experiences and of the environment.

Answer: FACT
Explanation: There is no absolute knowledge, just our interpretation of it. The
acquisition of knowledge therefore requires the individual to
consider information based on their past experiences, personal
views, and cultural background. Hence, the school is considered as
part of the environment.

5) An individual with a good personality can be a very good teacher.

Answer: FACT
Explanation: The personality of a person is the typical pattern of thinking, feeling
and behavior. If these three makes an assumption to what is good
and acceptable to the profession, then one can be a good teacher
without any doubt.

1) What are the key messages of the video?

 Learning Focused Relationship primarily focus on learning.


 Relationship inside the classroom is based on mutual respect whereas
students have a sense of ownership of their learning and teachers showing
how they will learn it.
 There is great emphasis on transparency where students can learn everything
in a respectable condition.
 There is a shared understanding on the teacher role and student role in
learning.

2) How can these key messages be translated into instructional practices if face to
face? Online? Home schooling?

 Whether it is face to face, online, or home schooling, it is really important to


establish good relationship to our students. As teachers, we have to give our
students a solid foundation anchored on a good learning environment. Given
this setting, we can transform our instructional practices to be more engaging
and encouraging for students do their expected roles to learn. Thus,
accountability must also be given emphasis to monitor the progress and
development of our students.

3) What made the learners participate in the TLP?


 There a lot of reasons to consider what makes learner participate during the
teaching – learning process. One classic idea is because they like the subject.
Well, what if they don’t like the subject? How can we make them participate?
There are studies that would claim that it is based on how we motivate them,
and there are also other studies that say it is based on the idea of reward and
punishment. However, it is also worth mentioning the factor where the
students understand his/her role inside the classroom.

4) How does this affect your perspective as a teacher? In a situation we are in now?
Why?
 During this pandemic, we have establish ourselves to be composed and
accountable to learning on whatever situation wherein. Mandated or not,
education must continue. Our community relies on how we are going educate
the future citizens of this country. Since we play a vital role on our society, we
have to be flexible, resilient, and resourceful enough to carry on the VGMO’s
of the department.
